Topic: Lilith conjunct Ceres

I just wanted to get people's perspectives of what this aspect means? I did google it and was a bit concerned about some of the descriptions as I have it exactly conjunct in my chart (3rd house Sagittarius 28 degrees). lolSuffice to say I don't like it! lol IP: Logged |

I'm basing this on my own hunch, didn't look anything up. I would think that someone's nurturing is independent with strings attach. Lilith doesn't do things without thinking of herself, she is resourceful, but she wants something in return for her actions. Someone with this aspect would have strong attachments, maybe even possessive tendencies. But also able to mine the depths of what makes others tick, she instinctly knows what others need and want and could take advantage of this.IP: Logged |

Well according to one website I looked at the author thinks Lilith conjunct Ceres is the potion or poison-making witch.  Hubble bubble toil and trouble...I'm just off to my cauldron to rustle up something suitably poisonous! IP: Logged |

I have this in my natal actually, and what you probably found is usually true. If the relationship with the mother is good it indicates an overly close relationship possibly involving Lillian themes. Or, like in my case if the relationship is bad or lacking, you may hold much rage and resentment for her, but have repressed sexual fantasies involving well...Ceres themes. Don't think I'm lesbian. lol I'm close to her but I don't want to be in her face, neither of us do really. She's very maternal and I am quite nurturing myself so maybe we have a natural urge to take care of each other. I read somewhere else that Darkmoon Lilith gets a bad press, painted as some kind of venomous "bad girl" whereas in fact she is just spirited, challenging to the man, and magnetic (can't find the link now, I didn't bookmark it). Because of that she might try to take advantage of her power, especially to point out men's weaknesses. (I think I do that sometimes, which I know is wrong). Once when I about 21 I was doing a gig (I'd lost a lot of weight after being generally a bit tubby as a teenager/kid) and my mother, who was at the gig, commented to me afterwards "you're aware of the effect you're having on men". I took that as a disparaging remark really. I probably WAS aware of it, but after years of being self-conscious of my weight and maybe a bit shy about my body, I thought "why not enjoy the attention for a bit?"  With it conjunct Ceres I think it brings an element of nurturing for me in relationships, which many men don't particularly welcome. Anyway....I like this guy's perspective on all things astrological... he looks for deeper or alternative meanings in everything.

Well that's kinda the problem when referring to lilith. I was referring to the BML which is angry, sexual, and repressed. I don't know much at all about the DML. You're right though, lilith was a symbol of evil because she was an aggressive female, which is still on a small level, socially unacceptable. Lillian energy in the chart typically represents our behavior which isn't exactly well received, unless well aspected. For example, many comedians have lilith trines and sextiles, allowing them to express these uncomfortable topics with humor.I didn't mean to imply anything like that btw, I just meant to say your sexual nature might be particularly motherly.
