What aspects and overlays indicate it? I mean a friendship without sexual or romantic attraction on any side. Sibling-like. Same gender or not.

I have this with a guy friend. We have Venus conjunct Venus and my mars + pluto conjunct his mars + saturn. He has sun in my 11th (friends). I adore him like crazy but not romantically. He's also good looking with a great body so it's a balancing act. We both make sure that we don't cross the platonic line.

He's chivalrous towards me and protective of me. He calls me out on my BS. If a guy I like or date is being a jerk, my friend will call him out on it face to face. Happened recently. No fighting, but made his point very clear. I thought it was awesome. Even the guy I like (whom my friend confronted) thought the protective gesture was cute. Every one else was just shocked.

We don't discuss sex (mars Saturn synastry restriction?). But we talk about fitness and technique a lot (positive uses of Mars Saturn synastry).

It's almost like having an older brother. He has moon in my 3rd house. I don't think of any of my other guy friends in a sibling like way. Just this one. He's special.

For me, platonic and GOOD friendships with men have only been achievable AFTER the sex has been dealt with. But I suppose this was not the answer you were looking for

Finding close opposite sex friendships without any ulterior motive takes time.

A lot of guys will try to become friends with women for the occasional benefits after they sleep with them. Or be friends just so they can bang you one day. Or you friendzone them and they accept the demoted position as a friend.

Your objective is to find good friends amongst whom a few special ones you will love in a platonic way. The mechanism of my choice is called rigorous screening

Good luck.

I just said it started with sex and went over to friendship. Can't be a f buddy if no sex is involved

Honestly all those trines people rave about are really only wonderful with friends.

I have plenty of Aqua and Libra friends which I enjoy.

My best friend who I love is an Aqua.

This is not the dynamics I'm interested in. Besides, I remember you said you forced them to be friends with you. How cute.

Aqua/Gemini placements?
I'm good at those, and I love them.

Yeah, I agree. I'm a Aqua and have never been romantically attracted to Libras or Geminis- they make awesome friends though! I seem to be attracted to fire and earth placements.

For me, jupiter/sun and moon/jupiter aspects are like bff aspects. I'm not sure if that's because of my chart or if that applies to others but everyone I have had platonic love for has had this in synastry.
