So I've begun the final stage of my transformation to become a better version of myself and I realized the first step of accomplishing all of my goals for myself is to effectively deal with the demons inside of me and finally feel all of the emotion that's been plaguing me and giving me pain whilst holding me back. How do I hold on long enough to feel and get rid of all the pain that resides in me?

I asked my mom with scorpio moon conjunct neptune how she deals with depression and asked about her intense emotions and pain.

She's like I don't bring myself to that place and I don't have time for to feel bad anyways.

LOL

I assume that you are a Sun in 8th and going through , what I would like to call, a "transformation" stage?

This is the area where you want to rid yourself of your old coil and assume a new perspective: Much like a snake sheds off its skin or an Eagle detaches its beak.

As a fellow Sun in 8th, I can assure you that the pain you are so wanting to get rid of, will not go away. Not ever, its not supposed to: If you keep on focusing upon it.

I was once watching a program where a woman went under hypnotherapy to try and "uncover" much of what was hidden in her subconscious mind in an effort to "wipe the slate clean" and start over.

What ended up occurring was that she started to relive the abuse of her past and all the emotions therein started to rush in like a flooded house.

The reason that her subconscious mind locked all those things away from her, was for her to go on from that trauma and still be able to live. Instead she ,unknowingly, opened up a Pandoras box and found that it was much like a rabbit hole in nature; deep and unending.

She should have just given her subconscious mind the benefit of the doubt and moved on. Instead, she believed that looking back was the only way to go forward? What kind of reasoning is that? And we all assume this type of thinking.

Coming back to your case, I don't think you should reminisce about any pain and "deal" with it by conjuring it up.

Trust me, when the time is right, it'll come up. That bus is never late. Especially when you believe that you have been "holding back".

What I'd advise to do, rather than digging up that couldron, is make peace with what was and move on from here.

This means that, from hereon, you will openly express that which you have been holding back (should it come up)and really "feel" the feelings that go with it.

You will not be "dealing" with anything but accepting who you are, right here and right now.

I will add though, it is not an easy thing to do. Many Sun in 8th people ,that I know, tend to hold off displaying emotions openly.

This may have something to do with our innately private natures and not liking to make a "show" of things.

Just for curiosities sake, is it transiting Pluto in the 1st house that is bringing all this need for introspective "cleansing" about?

Turning inwards helps to understand what your issues are and how this continually manifests in your life as stumbling ground time and again. Make peace with the root problems, forgive yourself and others, focus on making changes with the lessons learned and let it end there. Once you open up to feeling things, you become more sensitive and empathetic.

For me, inner change is a gradual transformation, it takes huge amount of patience and tolerance especially in the face of repeated mistakes. At times you may have given up and thought that you could never change, but that's precisely when change begins to occur at an internal level.

“If you are depressed you are living in the past.
If you are anxious you are living in the future.
If you are at peace you are living in the present.”
-Lao Tzu

I have Sag moon in 8th.

Your assumption was wrong lol I'm a 7th house sun. But I will take the advice nonetheless.

This is good too, but I suggest you start with the pain you inflicted on others. Try to feel their pain and if possible, ask for forgiveness. This is the beginning of a "better version" of yourself. Especially if you are a 7th house sun and a Scorpio Moon.

Hi Leorpio, my mother is a Leo Sun, Scorpio Moon, Capricorn Rising, Leo Mercury, and Libra Mars like you. She has Venus in Cancer, though.

I would send her a text and ask her what she thinks, but she probably wouldn't respond. She does, however, seem to finally be in a really great place in her life. She said something the other day to me about how she had recently fully realized that all emotions pass, and we have to weather the bad times because the good will come; and we have to enjoy the good times, because the bad will eventually come back.

My mom also has Moon conjunct Neptune. Moon is 7º Scorpio and Neptune is 8º Scorpio.

This is a funny aside: my daughter was born 7/17/13 and she has Moon in Scorpio. Shortly after she was born, I said something about this to my mom while she was holding my daughter. My mom, who thinks astrology is interesting but would never pursue its study, said to my daughter, "Did you hear that? We need to go looking for scorpions under the full moon! Ya want to?" I can't remember her exact wording, but it was far more comical than I'm recounting.

Tuche, But I was using the whole house system. I failed to mention that.

All the same, much of what you explained wreaks of 8th house issues of "rebirth" and "renewal".

But to each his own. 7th house it is!
