A lot of you seem to have this therapeutic effect on people but I want input on cancers and two points:

1. You seem to always be in a good mood and happy. Is this real or is it just how you want people to view you? Are cancers good at hiding how they really feel? The one thing that some cancers have a hard time hiding at times is neediness but other than that it seems everything is fine, you can't tell by looking at them unless they open up and tell you that something is wrong.

1. Personally I am never in a good mood but for some reason people always tell me that I look like I am in a good mood. We are moody people. LOL. I don't want people to view me as angry or unapproachable but I don't go out of my way to make people view me as happy all the time. It just kind of happens. Are Cancers good at hiding how they feel? That depends on the rest of their chart I would assume. I am not good at hiding how I feel. When I don't like them that person knows immediately. Only those who are really close to me can tell if I am upset. However, they won't know what they did or if I am even upset with them because I do not open up easily if ever. Usually I just have a content look on my face though that could be my Taurus moon.

2. Internally, yes I want to be the center of attention but that probably stems from childhood issues. LOL However, I am too shy to make myself the center of attention so I just sit back and chill or I will make sure to work extremely hard so I can get recognized for my work. That way I can be the center of attention without being obnoxious or clingy. Also though when someone else has done something and they are the center of attention I am fine with that because I believe in giving credit where credit is due. I don't have that dying need to be the center of attention in every situation.

If you are in a bad mood but you come off like you are in a good mood and this happens naturally and you are not trying hard to look happy then you are good at hiding how you feel even though its NOT deliberate and just sort of happens that way. I wish I had that!

I dont want people to know my moood. I am jealous! but I belief you 100% about it happening naturally, you sound genuine and the description feels honest and accurate.

1. I'm definitely not happy all the time but most of the time I try very hard to hide my moodiness and give people the impression that everything is going well. I usually feel like I'm coming across as a moody person anyway but I don't know if that's actually the case. I have a Taurus ASC so I think sometimes I seem more placid than I really am.

If I really worked at it I can pretend to be happy and carefree but feel like s*** we are ruled by the Moon, the Moon has many faces. People expect Cancer people to be the mother and father to everyone, WE DON'T WANT THIS ROLE, it is thrust upon us, people feel us and want us to be their parents, nurse, adviser, or caretaker. We are only responding to what we intuit about people and the situation. Stop acting needy and we will leave you alone. So we do this caring, because Cancers have a problem with feeling guilty and selfish, we will gladly put you first. After caring for people they then complain that Cancers are smothering or clingy towards them, but they're the ones putting out the invisible S.O.S. Once a Cancer connects to someone, they bond with them, some people construe this as clingy, but in the Cancer's viewpoint they want to protect the person from harm. We are the most complex sign in the zodiac. No one can ever "peg" a Cancer, we're too complex. Also the Moon placement can change Cancer energy strongly, that is why Cancers tend to be different across the board.

So, yes, I tend to pretend I'm happy, because to be honest most people would be shocked to find how dark and depressing Cancers can feel, they couldn't handle it. Cancer's are a good reader of people, most Cancers will not tell you how they truly feel because they know you won't understand. So we throw on another mask. Cancers can be suicidal, but most people don't know that...

2. I don't know about other Cancers, but I don't like to be the center of attention, I will gladly be self-effacing to others. I don't care for spot-light and being important. But weirdly Cancers do have a tendency to stand out when they're not seeking any attention. I think it's because we emanate a "comfort" energy.

Humans are all about comfort and home that is the top priority in all of civilizations, if you think about that, you begin to realize how important Cancer energy is in molding us as individuals for better or worse.

Favoritism: Can't be helped, like I said, people latch on to Cancerians, many people think its the other way around. But Cancers can be very accommodating, nice, gentle all this can make others see you as a favorite. Humans respond more positively to gentleness then abrasive/coldness. Is this manipulative, I don't know (it could be, Cancers have a way at making it to the top in the most indirect ways), but its something innate in some Cancers, almost like breathing air. I'm not saying all Cancers are nice etc. it varies, some Cancers can be your worse nightmare...

But Cancer's have no problem taking care of themselves and creating a home, it is other people who have a need for Cancer energy especially those who didn't get warmth and caring while growing up. Those tend to be the people who are drawn to Cancers the most. They have a need to go back to this place.

1. I knew a woman who was a Cancer and she was always about being positive and happy unless she was super upset (like her dog died, or she found out her son was a douchebag). She complained a lot about her own appearance though, and gossiped a ton. Another Cancer male I know (different age though - mid 20's vs. 40's like the lady above) always has a need to be the wittiest, smartest, most opinionated and logical person. He has to be the best at school, and same with another Cancer girl I know who is dumb as bricks at work but apparently competitive academically.

Personally, I'm really good at hiding my emotions, but when I want them to be known, they will be known. I guess I project it easily (moon in the 1st).

I can't say for sure if the fact that I want attention is because of my Moon. After all, Leos like attention, too.

But in a sense, if you blend both signs together, I think you get a total attention ***** like me--not gonna deny. Cancer, I think, is a sign that needs a lot of support from people, which I guess can come in the form of attention.

Are they sociable? Not really. Every Cancer I know is a shy soul even when you get to know them. They like put up little barriers for people, I guess.

If that is your experience of cancers, Amelia, it probably has something to do with the frequent personal Leo placements in some Cancer people's charts (most often Mercury, Venus).

My new friend at work is awesome she is a cancer but very far from needy but today I finally got her info and saw her chart which explains why she is not needy like other cancer influence people I have met.

She has sun in cancer, moon in libra, venus in gemini, mars in aries, jupiter in cancer and saturn in capricorn. She has leo rising at 0 degrees and DC in aqua. Her relationship planets and DC are in air signs!

I am at awe with her chart. I love it and feel super comfortable with her and intellectually we really click.

She has just the right amount of water, fire and air in her and all 4 cardinal signs in her chart. She also has mars domicile, jupiter exalted, saturn domicile and pluto domicile.

Her mars trines my venus and mars. Her venus conjuncts my DC and my Draco venus and mars.
Her sun conjuncts my draco sun. Her moon conjuncts my Sun by 4 orbs but out of sign. My moon in the 4th, sun in the 10th and mercury in the 10th like her cancer and cap influence on her chart. Her DC in aqua goes great with my uranus conjunct AC aspect. We both have mars in the 9th! and we both have jupiter in the 12th! and we both have northnode in the 7th. She has tsquares involving cardinal signs and mutable houses and I have tsquares involving mutable signs and cardinal houses.
