Is it true that when someone's mars conjuncts another person's South Node things end badly between then?

South Node is not an ending, it shows where you start from to proceed to your NN. In synastry, it usually shows connections from the past. Personal planets on any of the nodes are like a "glue" for relationships, showing important relationships.

Mars on SN person can stimulate the node person to move towards his NN.
