He pretended to be a prince and went after treasure to impress some girl that's all cap men do lol
But watch the movie again class heirarchy theme is prominent he hated being a street rat and found an opportunity that Jafar offered and became ambitious

Aladdin wasn't after riches or power, that just happens to come with being a prince which he had to be for him to be even considered suitable for Jasmine.

He hated being a "street rat," but his love for the princess is what gave him the desire to seek out riches and power. He was in awe of her when he thought she was of the same class level as him: poorer than dirt. It would have made for a much less interesting movie, though if she had just been another homeless girl, they fell in love, and lived happily ever after.

He was driven by love, not ambition for power.

I say Sag Asc, Scorpio sun, Leo Moon.
Maybe a Libra moon....
