I was just wondering if you have aspects in your chart that definitely do not describe you at all. What accounts for these discrepancies?IP: Logged |

Charts are complicated and involve many factors. Also, cookbook descriptions of aspects are often simplistic. When examining an aspect, keep in mind that they're describing (and this is just an example) a square between a typical Moon and a typical Saturn and not your Moon and your Saturn. There are many ways the same aspect can play out depending on the rest of the chart.IP: Logged |

Yeah, I heard this explained to me really well the other day.Usually the cookie cutter "Sun conjunct moon" descriptions are described at the most perfect of the aspect and/or the worst case scenario IP: Logged |

Probably - having read a narrow online interpretation that cannot take into account that aspect in the context of your chart, the houses, the particular signs it is in etc. Alternatively, the aspect is either too wide in orb, out of sign - or overshadowed by more significant aspects (eg. hard aspects to the angles/nodes). Also if the aspect involves a transpersonal planet: Uranus, Neptune, Pluto - it has a pretty wide scope of possible manifestations, so you need a good astrologer to really give you the picture, based on their experience, not just theory. Another option is - if the aspect is an opposition, the person can identify with one side of the opposition and project the other side. They are not always conscious of both sides to their personality... eg A Venus opp Pluto person could attract Plutonian people, whilst not really identifying with their own inner Pluonian power. And yes, of course - free will! IP: Logged |

This! Most descriptions usually list heaven or hell when in fact the majority (i think) are somewhere in between. IP: Logged |
