Topic: physical difference between cancer and gemini ascendant!??

I found out that my boyfriend was born a whole other place than I though lol… this means that his cancer ascendant might be a gemini ascendant instead:S But if he was born just FIVE minutes later than he has told me, it would still be cancer ascendant… It's really just about minutesSo what is the main physical difference between these too ascendant? It's really difficult to figure out now, cause his pisces moon might confuse a little bit (and he is a libra sun by the way) IP: Logged |

Cusp Ascendants huh? Tricky. I am one myself.I don't think there are sure fire ways to ascertain an Asc based on physical appearance. But personality traits give it away First rule out all the other possibilities that are there on the personal planets. In your case, since he has the Moon in Pisces, this may prove a little tricky; since Pisces and Cancer are very similar. But, nevertheless, it is not an overnight thing and you will get clues and pick up cues from his behavior. So just take your time. Does he have additional planets in Cancer; say Mars or Jupiter there? This will definitely exemplify the Cancer nature. Gemini Asc are always mentally alert/sharp. There is something very "busy" about their demenour and they have a very short attention span. Cancer Asc are quite changeable; bouncy extroverted and conversational one minute. Sad, melancholic and touchy the next. Cancer Asc attaches to things and Gem Asc doesn't. Again, this is contradicted a lot if there is a hoarding Mars in Taurus/Cancer in the personal planet.

Well he sure has a short attention span and is able to multitask…but it's not like he can't concentrate on something, but I have noticed he has troubles finishing stuff But on the other hand he is extremely shy…he is not really talkative with strangers, but he is kinda talkative in smaller groups though and also flighty And then again… he is not "indifferent" or cold/attached like a gemini ascendant either…it could be the pisces moon though:S
He also got a gemini mars in 12th house, but no cancer placement. It's really confusing! I must admit I want him to be a cancer ascendant rather than a gemini ascendant, because he would be a lot more compatible with me then haha:P IP: Logged |

They are very different ascendants, you should able to tell. Check out librarising.com for the general vibe. Gemini ascs have a youthful quality to them, they move gracefully and maybe are good dancers. They are slender and they love to chat. Cancer has a body that's more heavy on the top, big chest and the way they use their hands is similar to the way real crabs are (it's a specific way of holding things, but I can't really describe it to you  ). They also have a specific grin, when they are not content, it's as if they are smelling something putrid - think George W. Bush.IP: Logged |

My sister has Gemini Mars in the 12th house(whole house system) and 11th house(placidus system) .I see this manifest both with people accusing her of doing things that she didn't do (12th)AND her active involvement with cousins, friends and social situations(11th). 12th house can be seen as distrustful and when Mars is there, people tend to assume some type of intrinsic "malice" or "underlying" rebellion in the person-before they even say/do anything. The person may even have people undermining them in violent/confrontational ways. When in 11th house, the Mars here puts a lot of effort in sustaining friends by keeping contacts, attending functions and organizing gathering and events. How close is Mars to the Asc? If its within 10 Degrees, he is likely to be conforming to the Gemini Asc. But even with this being so, it doesn't necessarily mean that you two would be "incompatible". IP: Logged |

I've been wondering about this for over 7 years. It's very difficult to tell the difference.
My AC is at 29 Gem. Five mins later it goes into Cancer. I can't be 100% that it's one or the other.
The weirdest thing is that the women I resemble most in appearance always seem to have *both* Gemini and Cancer prominent, never one or the other.
Maybe cusps work after all... or maybe it's because my AC progressed into Cancer.IP: Logged |

I think he's a Gemini rising. He might be shy in huge crowds, but I think that is his moon acting out. I am a Gemini rising, too, so I could tell. I am exactly as you described him--able to multitask, short attention span, flighty, very sociable with people I'm comfortable with. But I have a water moon like him and I feel awkward around strangers. ------------------

Cancer ascendants definitely have a sort of lopey way of walking. My ex had Mars on the AC which made me initially think he was Aries rising, but with a little (slightslight sliiiight) double chin and a sidesaddle way of walking, he was definitely Cancer rising.Gemini AC you can tell right away - talktalktalktalk talk! They have a huge gift of gab, and even if they are a bit wiley and sarcastic like the Gem ACs that are more sexy than bubbly, they have SLIM hips and tend to be a bit taller as Mercury rules Gemini. Cancer ACs can put on a bit of water weight or have wider middles. Not sure about the girls. IP: Logged |

ok the really tricky part is that he is very tall, but he used to be fat when he was little:P So he has a body that is "heavy" but he has lost so much weight that he is slim in the gemini kind of way:S And I also think he has that sloppy walk, he moves like a shy person who makes himself "shorter than he is". His ascendant square mars with 4-6 degrees. I also noticed that when he enters new situation he acts like a cancer rising more than a gemini rising… he is shy and moves to the side, he doesn't enter a room and talk to everyone. I have actually never heard him talk like the typical gemini where they can just go on and on… he never talk for an especially long time, it's almost a shame It's not that easy to tell which one, he could be born on the second where the ascendant moved into cancer, really:P IP: Logged |
