My ascendant is in capricorn - cap saturn 24'

An example for me would be 5. The number 5 is ruled by Mercury and I think it is most like Gemini, and my Ascendant's ruler is the Sun, so I can say the placement is then "Sun in Gemini".

So for you it would be Mars in Cancer because your Ascendant's ruler is Mars, and the 2 number is ruled by the Moon.

In a rather roundabout way, my Mars and Moon are in contact. Only because my Mars is in Aquarius and Uranus is conjunct my Moon by declination. For the Mars/Moon to work, I would have to say that Uranus brings Mars to my Moon through that parallel.

Does Sun conjunct Mercury make sense for you?

If you will notice, that blog will start to say that a number is ruled by one planet, then changes it later on in the article.

Like for for instance, 5 says it is ruled by Mars, then is related to Mercury.

It does this to the other numbers as well. It's weird.

Oh, that's cool that both your numbers are 2 and 7. 2 is ruled by the Moon and 7 is ruled by Neptune. Those two planets work out very well together
The Moon also rules 7 traditionally, so it's kinda like a double Moon plus Neptune.

I wish I had a 7 for one of my numbers. That's like the best number, in my opinion.

The only thing that sucks about the 7 is your encounters with things not of this world. People don't like the reality of it. It's usually reserved for fantasy books or movies but once it's right in front of someone who was previously SO interested, they run. I've only met people online that don't flip out. But that's not really a great test because online can be considered fantasy. I hate that part of the 7.
