So, I have a quick question about one's Vertex in their natal chart and what it means about the sign, house, and aspects it makes to inner planets, outer planets, and asteroids. I myself have Vertex in Libra in the 6th house - so obviously my Anti-Vertex is in Aries in the 12th house. I can't seem to find enough information about it online; except that Vertex in Libra means one should be learning about how to become "detached" (something I find odd, since Libra is under the charge of Venus and is all about partnerships and relationships). Also, since it's in the 6th house, it means I'm supposed to bring together two opposing factions through a state of compromise. If I don't, I'll have a totally horribly imbalanced life due to my self-centered and egotistical ways. *confused expression*. Honestly I've only ever wanted to become an author - hopefully one that is very well-known some day. And yes, I would like to change the world's outlook on some things, but through metaphorical story-telling, if it ever works out. I'm not one for business or politics - both too corrupted for my tastes and I'm much too creative to be stifled in an office or a suit all day. ANYWAYS... I tried looking up Vertex meanings if they aspected one's inner and outer planets and can't really find anything. Vertex (Libra, 6th House) Trine Venus (Gemini, 2nd House) -2°58s Vertex Square Mars (Cancer, 3rd House) 4°11a Vertex Trine True Node/North Node (Aquarius, 10th House) 2°13a Vertex Quincunx Ascendant (Taurus) -0°04s It also makes connections with various asteroids of mine - mostly romantic in nature, so I won't get into those (unless you'd like to know). But yeah, I'm just curious as to what any or all of this could mean. Is any of it written in a specific book somewhere that I could order from Amazon or something? If anyone has any information, please feel free to share and thanks for taking the time to read this. ------------------ "Belief is like laying in the dark with someone and telling them you love them and hearing nothing back." I also have my Vertex in Libra in the 6th as well and it also contacts my Venus and NN and is quincunx my ASC. I want to be a famous writer too and couldn't handle working in an office either. I've read the Anti-Vertex is about the luck you make and the Vertex is about the luck that comes to you. Sorry I can't be more helpful, I have also had difficulty finding information about the Vertex. I wish I could recommend a book, I would love to read one myself.IP: Logged |

I have my Vertex in the 6th house square Pluto exact. Someone recently said I'm a survivor. Maybe...I don't know if it has anything to do with its house position but I'm more familiar with health issues than I'd like to.------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy. IP: Logged |

You should google the aspects, this is how I've come across some interesting threads and articles. I'm also completely unaware of vertex's importance - I know that it's important in synastry, but until recently I thought that mine was in Scorpio in the 2nd. Turns out it can't be in the 2nd, as it can only be in the houses from 5th to 8th and mine is in Aries, conjunct sun-venus-mars. Whatever that means IP: Logged |

I have Vertex in the 5th house of Scorpio and exactly conjunct my Pluto. I definitely don't always feel in control of my life, like as if sometimes something else is controlling it, and I don't always mean another person. It's super weird but I've had a million and one ups and downs and my fair share of a little something commonly referred to as bad luck, lol. I do feel that I have acquainted myself with metaphysics for a reason, like some Scorpio Vertex descriptions have stated. I've always been into metaphysics/mysticism since I was little, and used to want to be a paranormal investigator. I also have Vertex sextile my Venus/Jupiter conjunction, loosely sextile Uranus/Neptune conjunction, inconjunct Mars, and square Lilith, Chiron, and loosely to Saturn. There really isn't too much on the Vertex, I know It's one of my fav things to study too. There are a few sites on it though, you just really have to search Google high and low lol. IP: Logged |

http://starscopestoday.wordpress.com/tag/vertex-or-anti-vertex-synastry/ Here's one on Synastry. There is one on this Thread as well, though that Cafe Astrology one was better: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/225647.html
