Do you ever have periods of feeling really happy/elated, like you have everything at your fingertips, people seem to love you, then the next minute everything has caved in, you feel you have no-one REALLY special in your life, and your life seems pretty pointless?I wonder what causes this. Is it just an illusion we create, the happiness thing, when it's not really genuine at all. Or does sometimes the horrible "down" period precede something really nice? What's your experience? I'm only asking this because it's how I feel at the moment. IP: Logged |

I feel the same. Probably it's my mutable moon, or my 12H placements ...IP: Logged |

Change is the only constant. Acceptance and appreciation of the now can do wonders. It's when we compare the now to the previous elation/happiness that we feel even worse. I went through my dark night of the soul 7 years ago during my Saturn return and wouldn't change that experience for anything in the world. It's given me a mental and emotional equanimity that is now part of my character. IP: Logged |

Yeah I think it's my T square Neptune/Moon/Venus in fixed signs rearing it's difficult ahead again. IP: Logged |

Always! Sometimes I can't appreciate the happy periods cause I know I'm gonna be questioning my existence pretty soon. There was a thread, not too long ago.I don't remember the topic, but a lot of natal Moon/Saturn knowflakes agreed on experiencing these feelings. I have the opposition.IP: Logged |

Yes I agree these things can make you what you are (or break you). I just feel I've run into a very high wall. IP: Logged |

I have Moon and Saturn 15 degrees apart so not conjunct. But it's like I know I have a sense of despondency yet I can't quite FEEL it to the point where I'd want to slash my wrists or anything (lol, sorry to get morbid!). It's strange really. IP: Logged |

I like the odd T-square, it adds a bit of spiciness to one's chart which might otherwise be a bit bland with lots of trines and stuff. Maybe I have some bad transits going on, I don't know. I do feel much better today though than I did a couple of days ago. I've let go of certain things/people and it's helped and started focusing on organizing my life and getting my act together. You realize that some people don't have your interests at heart and it's sort of liberating knowing you don't want them in your life anymore.

Sometimes the things that used to give us joy no longer do because we're outgrowing them in a sense. But the new hasn't come in yet so we struggle between not wanting the old but unsure what the new is. It's a tough place to be - just have to wait it out and go back to basics - a cup of coffee, a child's smile, a poem or story we like to read. IP: Logged |

hey cool to hear you guys have T-SQUARE! But I must beat you now my my GRAND CROSS folks!lolVENUS-PLUTO-MOON-JUPI Jo B, No such a thing as constant you know. The only difference is that some people experience extreme slides down or jumps up while others more smoothly and less noticeable which again can be very boring ..Grater the fall, grater the rising dear and all the great things rise out of strongly felt emotions be it pain or happiness..mediocre seldom contributes the evolution ( personal or even social) just maybe ease in existence...Hope you understand my point. That's sound advice $Dragon, and pocaloca I do understand your point. I see a challenging and difficult road ahead (because the past 7 years have been a bit of a wasteland for me really, I have a lot of catching up to do), but only I can get myself up again. No-one else can. (I'm not even talking about love now, it's about life.) (Sorry this has turned into a bit of a personal vent... but over to others now.) IP: Logged |

Seems like harsh aspects to the moon is the main cause. (Sun/Moon/Mars T-square) I feel like most of the time things crash and burn because I let my guard down and became careless. Perhaps there's a lesson from Saturn tooIP: Logged |

Oh boy that's me too. I can destroy all my efforts and hard work in one fell swoop. I don't know why I feel the need to pull the plug on things, but I do. Maybe because I'm fed up with bashing my head against a brick wall. IP: Logged |

I thought I had a bipolar disorder or something for feeling that way. I'm glad it's not just me! I personally think it's my Moon- Uranus square (instability emotionally) and my Moon-Neptune square which creates these feelings. I also have a stellium in Scorpio which adds that rebirth-death touch to it. I go from one extreme to the next then back again. I see why most people run from me.. it's fascinating yet irritating to go through so many emotions in one breath.IP: Logged |
