Just met a new guy and his progressed mars within 1 degree squares my natal Venus. Can this relationship work sexual?

Because Mars is a slow mover, the fires will burn for a while.

Are you sure there is no aspect between the natal Venus & Mars? Often there is, even out of orb.

I had the pSquare once. No aspect between the natal Venus & Mars, but; I have Venus in Taurus, and they Mars in Aries - both dignified. By progression my pVenus in Cancer sq their nMars in Aries.

in the first the timing was off, then we couldn't decide who was going to lead, after I made concessions I found 'em too rough (physically & emotionally). Eventually I played cold fish, detached and acted like a stranger again.

I think that is too large an orb for a trine, yes?

Do you have an aspect between your Mars and his Venus too? because if you do, it is definitely a trine. When there is a possibility for a DW, then the aspect is valid, even with a larger orb.

This one is too wide, but the other trine is valid, especially if there are other aspects connected to it.

DW = double whammy, an aspect that goes both ways, for example his mars trines her venus/his venus squares her mars. It reinforces the connection, brings a theme and creates a bond.

Call me contrary, but I believe the nVenus trine nMars was the basis for the pMars sq nVenus.

**Tangent Alert**

In the Dynamic Cycle after the Cancer-Scorpio trine comes the square (Leo-Scorpio, or Capricorn-Cancer). Thus, a nVenus-nMars trine involving Cancer-Scorpio should produce a pSquare or Opposition between Venus & Mars should these people meet in the flesh.

So the nVenus trine nMars was a sort of promise to meet at some point in life. Fortunately, or unfortunately Venus & Mars are in square aspect when you do meet.

The square aspect often point to outside-of-the-relationship interference.

If you're keen on this pairing but hate the square you'd have to wait for the pSextile (Virgo-Scorpio) or pTrine (Pisces-Cancer) between Venus & Mars. These aspects could come with this particular individual a bit later in life, or another person born a month or so after him.
