To be successful you have to be passionate.
What shows passion in the chart?
Venus?
The house it's in?
What about it's Lord?
What about who aspects that lord?
What about who aspects venus?

Passion is Mars. Look at the Mars sign, what house Mars is in, and the aspects to Mars. Also, look at what houses Aries and Scorpio are in and what planets are on them. This determines the passion of an individual.IP: Logged |

I also read 3rd house is creative expression and 5th house is also a creative house and their lords play a part

Passion is different from creativity. It's more like what drives you or inspires you and how much energy you spend on things. By definition, passion means strong and almost uncontrollable emotion. Think of the planet itself. It rules Aries, the sign of impulsivity. It doesn't stop to think. It has pure fiery passion. Mars in the natal chart is basically your drive, your inspiration, your passion.I have Mars in Libra in the 5th. Sure enough, the creative arts is my passion. It's where I spend most of my energy on. Sure, creativity is ruled by Venus and the Sun. But it does not rule passion. The 5th house is also the house of creativity and it is the house of creative expression, not the 3rd house. Venus in Gemini desires uhhh lol Honesly I don't get what Gemini is about... Yeah like I guess want someone to get me... really understand me.
whatever I feel more guided by my mars anyways...Mars in Aries is passionate about everything since it's domicile LOL.

You're a guy right? Some astrologers say that Mars is more prominent in males. Maybe that's why you don't get Venus. Apparently, it's what you look for in woman. I guess you like intellectual women who don't give two sh*ts about their looks and can keep you interested by talking.

I don't know about passion & to be successful. I'm trying to find passion after many years of depression. I think mars is your will. Someone I met studied astrology for seven years told me mars is your will. I don't know what a lord is. What's a lord?IP: Logged |

Mars is Desire
Venus is passion imo.Desire is more urgent than passion.I can desire something NOW. In that I want to get the "crux" of it. But if I am passionate about something, the focus is not on the "urgency" of getting it. But really the holistic experience. I may be digging into semantics now,but I can DESIRE sex. Which means I go to a bar/a club or somewhere to "get" it. Once fulfilled, the DESIRE is gone. Passion for sex however ,means you are into exploring the psychological, physical & spiritual aspects of it. With "passion", its not just finding someone and getting my rocks off etc. Its about doing the ritualistic dance of foreplay
and lovemaking. You don't just want to "climax". You want the whole journey towards that epic "end". And then perhaps to reflect on it too OR go back and have it with the same person-fine tuning the connection I have Venus in Scorpio. My passions run for a long time. I am obsessed with the sensual aspect of sex(for instance). This in all its forms-& not necessarily strictly just penertrative. Mars in Libra is the desire. My desires are thwarted a lot. If for instance I "desire" someone. Then someone else comes alomg and talks me out of the person I initially desired. The desire is not as strong. Libra Mars can find fault or second guess its own desires. Arguing back/ forth if the desire had is "appropriate". So if they are not quick to act on what they desire (which is often) they can write that desire off. I recall having a discussion with my Libra Mars ex about us getting back together. We BOTH very much DESIRED it at the time. But still managed to talk each other out of it🤣 Listing all sorts of reasons as to why we'd lead each other down the "wrong" path. DESIRE is frail. It has an expiration date and aims for instant gratification. PASSION is not frail, it find complexity exciting and longevity seductive.

I had depression for many years since I was a teenager & passion helps me with depression.I still have depression & doing things I feel passion for helps me with my depression.& what gives me passion & helps my depression is my 6th house & ruler Virgo/6th house Mercury/2nd house it's communication & business. Virgo is communication & Gemini is communication with Mercury ruler. My Venus is in Tarus/2nd house & passion is arts & beauty & home beautiful & business & material things like money homes cars & furniture etc & food & wines & my self esteem & self worth & self love & inner self & spirituality & materialism & music.& being content in the now & enjoying family that they don't get lost in the bushes & lose all sight of them & enjoying the material things in life & having that balance with material things & spirituality.Virgo/6th house health is what I am focus on healthy living & lifestyle beach sunshine outdoors & looking after my mind body & soul & taking care of myself.My Sun is in the 3rd house Gemini & ruler is mercury & passion is my chat channel & this Linda Goodman website. My 10th house I have Venus trine MC & my Venus in Tarus & 10th house is Capricorn & it's a career in arts & beauty. & my mars is in Aquarius in the 10th house with mars trine Uranus & my passion is to work with computer's. & emotions & inner self for passion I have Venus trine Pluto & mars in Aquarius the drive or the will & it's fixed/air. From my personal perspective, I think it's more than just Mars or Venus. It's the interaction of the planets with each other and with asteroids. For example, I am passionate about nutrition and wellbeing. My Venus and Mars are in Virgo, so that validates what has been said above. But! My Sun is conjunct Jupiter, in the 8th, with Eros and Lilith, and Moon interacts with these planets too. All of those touch Mars, and Venus is my MC. So, my passion is big, and loud. My passion and desire merge with my soul purpose, my emotional self, and my core. Perhaps it also helps that Mars is my chart ruler as well? IP: Logged |

Thanks stonemoon. Hey mars is my chart ruler. I have Aries ASC. I agree it's how other planets & aspects play together & the natal chart as complete picture to where the passion is. When I look at my natal chart for passion in Virgo/6th mercury/2nd I see planets in my 6th & 2nd house & aspects & rulers & house. & in the 10th house mars chart ruler & planets & aspects & Venus house & planets & aspects & sun Gemini in 3rd house Mercury ruler. So with Mars, chart ruler, in 10th do you feel driven to do something you’re passionate about? Mine in 10th definitely pushes me to do what I love as opposed to just having by a job that provides what I want in life. Do you have Eros or Lilith aspects in your chart? IP: Logged |
