I think it is Uranus, I've seen it before, on ASC and Mars. Woman Uranus on man Mars - the woman is electrified by the man's masculinity, physical presence, the ASC enhances that. You are close and feel good with each other, mutual Sun-Moon sextile, and he likes you: Venus opp. Sun, but I think you would not be compatible as erotic partners in the long rung and his Sun/Uranus/Venus in Scorpio intuits it more. And this is because his Mars is not aspected by your personal planets, plus his 5th house ruler is Mars so he needs his Mars to be aspected to fall in love, plus he needs a woman who puts personal planets in his 1st house. I've two unrequited love stories:

Me: Sun in Sagittarius, Moon in Virgo

Unrequited love 1: Sun in Virgo, Moon in Gemini

Unrequited love 2: Sun in Pisces, Moon in Sagittarius

It's been approximately 6-7 years and I still have 2 tiny spots for them, a bigger one for no.2

I've my Sun(7H ruler)/Mars/Venus trine my partner's ascendant, Uranus(chart ruler)/Neptune widely square his Ascendant and I never felt he was my 'ideal right'. I wasn't attracted to him at all in the beginning. It was only later on. So in my opinion, it's not the Ascendant. It should be something else.

Thank you! Well the intense like I had for him when we FIRST met like 10 or so odd yrs ago has calmed down a lot. I'm even repulsed by him sometimes (that must be uranus). I pretty much let the idea of us being "together" go a long time ago and I'm happy where things are. I just really wanted to get an idea of why I have been liking him for so long as I usually don't have romantic feelings for men THIS long. I get bored pretty fast then move on to something else.

I don't see how Sun/Moon could possibly be unrequited, they create such a strong bond and compatibility, even the square. It must have been something else in your charts or a Neptune, love-from-a-distance theme.
