The eclipses are here! The eclipses are here! The Cosmic Cardinal Cross too!

Last week during a class, I mentioned the various dates that are active in our lives right now as the Spring Eclipses combine with the Cardinal Cross energy to create a huge cross road and intersection of major choice in each of our lives. As I watched people, observing their various faces process the dates, I realized how important these dates were in each person’s life. Virtually every member of class was nodding and shaking their head affirmatively.

Often, we make decisions or choices in the course of living. Later down the road of our life, we realize what an important choice it was. Hindsight, they say is 20/20. With astrology, we get the gift of Foresight. It, too, can be 20/20.

Take the dates below. Mull on the events in your life that took place on those dates. If you weren’t born during some of the older ones, ask your parents what was going on in THEIR lives. Notice the correlation between the various past events and the CURRENT choice(s) you are facing now. Blend the various components into a cohesive whole. Or think of it as a delicious salad of ingredients. Trust the process that what you notice or select is an important ingredient ~ or will be ~ going forward. Toss gently. Add a bit of dressing or a touch of lemon. Make the choice(s) that will impact the rest of your life in a positive manner. Chose with a grateful and trusting heart and head towards the choice that brings you moving toward love, expansion, growth and abundance. Not all of the dates may match your life, but I’d be willing to bet most of the dates WILL resonate to right now, especially if you sit quietly with them for a few minutes.

The Full Moon eclipse on April 15, 2014 woke up the Lunations from October 2013 and 2012 helping you see stories from those months clearly.

Both eclipses echo across time and space to the events in our lives from Spring 1995 and 1976.

Think similar stories yet different rolls or experiences. Different or similar choices. Be brave. Choose wisely.

The Week’s Planetary Highlights

Sun in Taurus aspects the Cardinal Cross planets, asking us to ground and form our choices as he works with Mars, Saturn, Pluto and Uranus from May 1 to 4. Make your new or renewed commitments as Sun answers to Venus exalted in Pisces. Love is in the air ~ or at least a renewed burst of passion and desire for your path and what you want from your life.

Mercury in Taurus is connected, relational, grounded and FULL of desire. Answering to Venus exalted in Pisces, he’s moving fast, traveling between the degrees of 10 to 22 this week. Expect to hear lots of information, practical, solid, and fixed information. Mercury sets off the Cardinal Cross as he works with Mars, Saturn, Pluto, Uranus and Jupiter from April 28 to 30. He gets a bit depressed on Friday, May 2 but resolves his sad feelings after the weekend.

Venus in Pisces has her work set out for her early in the week as she deals with the tough planets in the sky. Adapt, unexpectedly, to news you hear. On May 2, Venus enters Aries for 16 days, kicking Mars in Libra up to a brand new level. Wounding words over the weekend.

Mars is silent this week ~ which is actually a GOOD thing after all the trouble he caused LAST week. Mars deals with jealousy or envy on Thursday.

Jupiter is silent this week. Let go and let it roll….

Uranus deals with health matters this week. Things that surfaced under the Cardinal Cross now have to be worked with. Change is happening, like it or not!

Neptune offers you nurturing this week. Accept it!

Pluto deals with health matters this week. Things that surfaced under the Cardinal Cross now have to be worked with. Evolve. Change. Let go.

Void Moons in the Week Ahead: When the Moon is Void, it is wise to avoid making important decisions as they tend to be unrealistic, and subject to false starts, errors or unexpected hassles. There is a New Moon Solar Eclipse on Tuesday, April 29 2014 at 02:14:19 am EDT visible over most of Australia and where the missing Malaysian plane supposedly crashed in the Southern Indian Ocean. The degree of the Eclipse is 8:52 Taurus. It starts a New Cycle that evolves on January 26, 2015, October 27, 2015 and July 26, 2016 with First Quarter, Full and Third Quarter respectively.

Eclipse season runs until May 14, 2014. The Solar New Moon Eclipse is on Tuesday at 8:52 Taurus. Eclipses make us feel we HAVE TO DO something! Often the thing we HAVE TO DO something about is a long standing issue or situation which seems to reach critical mass.

Last week our Cardinal Grand Cross climaxed. Whatever happened, THIS week, you put down new roots and start a new growth cycle with the Eclipse in solid, fixed, Earth at 8 Taurus.

If you have planets in your chart, in the 12 to 14 degree area, they are releasing the Cardinal Cross Climax as it starts to separate. If you don’t have planets at those degrees, the HOUSES which contain 12 to 14 of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn will be receiving the energy and starting to let go. Look around the world to see how rocking and rolling the cardinal energy is. Cosmic Climaxes were everywhere you looked! This week, we take that Cardinal Cross energy and start to do something constructive, productive and building with it!

The focus for the New Moon Solar Eclipse on April 29, is similar to the Full Moon eclipse we had on April 15th. The ascendants are virtually the same and most of the planets fall in similar houses. In the chart cast for the East Coast of the United States, the energetic emphasis moves from “what are my values relative to your values?” to a clear statement of what YOU desire for yourself. We move from a Full Moon with Aries Sun to Libra Moon to a Taurus Sun and Moon, right next to Mercury. Juno changed signs into Taurus. What is right for us is right for us. It might not be right for the other person. That is okay. This New Moon is about you… and what you want. You are going to state clearly what you want to partner with going forward. You are going to plant your seeds for the next big chapter and encourage that energy to grow and blossom. Similar to a sparkling Christmas tree glimpsed behind a window on a cold winter’s night, decorated and shining, your desired statements and visions are answering to an Exalted Venus in Pisces. Dream a big dream. Envision your next chapter. Be careful that it is YOUR vision, not some other person’s vision of what your life should, could or would be. You are unique in the world. Only one of you! EVER! In all eternity! So get ready to go forward. Time will speed up at the end of the week, when Venus enters Aries so take the beginning of the week to focus on the dream and the rest of the week to get it moving out into the world. Commentary: ‘A Christmas Tree is Decorated’ is a Symbol that brings feelings of family, celebration and happiness. When the ‘Tree is Decorated’ it represents a sign of unity and that many of our family and celebrational needs are, or will be, met. The star placed on top of the ‘Tree’ represents the star that led the wise men, the Magi astrologers, to the stable in Bethlehem where Jesus was born. As long as the spirit of Christmas is celebrated with thankfulness and joy, people will be happy and share both their love and their time. Often at Christmas time it is cold outside. There is the sensation of snow on the ground and everything being rather bleak outside whilst inside there is love, shelter, food and warmth. There is also the beauty of the Christmas lights – the ‘Tree is Decorated and Shines in the Darkness’. The presents glint and a feeling of anticipation hangs in the air of what fun and rewards are yet to come. Push off from the limitations that you are used to, accepted in the past or once thought were all that you deserved. You are a shining child of the universe. Mars Day Tuesday April 29, 2014 Moon is in Taurus and goes void Sextile to Venus. There is a New Moon Solar Eclipse on Apr 29 2014 at 02:14:19 am EDT visible over most of Australia and the Southern Indian Ocean. Today is a particularly active day with oodles of aspects inviting you to plant new seeds under THE MOST FERTILE MOON of the year! Moon rolls through the planets in the Cardinal Cross. She asks Mercury to join her in expressing what she wants to create to the rest of the world. He agrees ~ he knows what is best. She asks Pluto in Capricorn to cooperate with her and bring his power to help her grow and manifest something of value and worth with an easy flowing abundance. She invites Jupiter exalted in Cancer to combine with her fertility in Fixed Earth to grow in abundance ~ earth and water make mud! She looks at Saturn and suggests he’s being a bit difficult lately around all those commitment issues… perhaps taking a more generous or psychological approach might help? Sun’s argument with Saturn says that everything ends or changes. Allow for some space between yourself and people you disagree with. Saturn’s Day Saturday May 3, 2014 Moon enters Cancer at 02:14:01 am and has a closing aspect of a sextile to Mercury. Juicy and delicious, another very fertile few days to get things accomplished with lots of adjusting aspects to help you along. Mercury and Ceres argue asking that you adjust what you think about nurturing and caretaking. Moon’s trine to Neptune can either be fabulously inspiring or deeply depressing (or a bit of both). Let Bernadette hold you… Love can hurt and right now, your heart might be hurting. Hurt makes us appreciate non-hurt. Pain is how we know we have to change. You wake up with a clear decision made as Mercury connects with Admetos. Deep emotions swell as Mercury connects with the ocean goddess Sedna. There can be tsunamis in your world… allow the waves of emotion to flow over you. It has been a tough month. Tears are in order!? Or perhaps the helpless laughter that comes from knowing how absurd the world can be? Sun’s semi-sextile to Uranus can set off your funny bone and can help you find the humor in the absurdity that often accompanies this all too fragile and frail human existence.
