Would the mars in a quintile with the moon be attracted towards the moon, like in a normal mars/moon aspect?

I see it like this: if you have many major aspects connecting both charts and aspects involving those two planets, yes, it is more significant. Or if the quintile is part of a DW.

or

if you have a quintile theme in the chart, or an esoteric theme with several esoteric aspects.

For example in my synastry, I have a Moon/Pluto septile DW with Moon/Pluto novile and Moon conjunct Pluto in the composite, so in this case the esoteric aspects become especially significant.

But even an isolated quintile per se can provide for a pleasant energy, especially between Moon and Mars, playful, creative, happy in sex and with their children, happy emotions, a feeling of blessing in intimacy.

The tighter the orbit the more you would feel it. It doesn't have to be major. I feel tight quintiles and semi-square in synastry ( less than 1 degree).

The orb for a quintile is only 2 deg., so all quintiles are tight.

I would consider a quintile to be tight if it's less than a degree. In synastry I use a 2-3 degree orb for inner planets and a 1-2 degree orb if an outer planet is involved but most people don't go over 2 degrees. In my experience the quintile won't be felt strongly unless it's about a degree or less but there are exceptions, like for example if it's a DW or a bilevel aspect.

I had two quintiles with my ex, both under a degree. The first, Sun quintile Sun, was definitely central to our synastry. Not even sure we would have fallen for each other without that aspect. The second was my Venus quintile her Pluto. I definitely felt that one as well, our relationship had a Venus-Pluto vibe (it was a DW, with her Venus quincunx my Pluto at a degree and a half). We had some biquintiles in tight orb too and they also played an important role in our synastry.

My theory about 5th harmonic aspects in synastry is people who have them playing a prominent role in their natal are more sensitive to them in synastry. My ex and I both have golden yods, perhaps if that weren't the case we wouldn't have been so responsive to the quintiles and biquintiles in our synastry.

Another important thing about 5th harmonic aspects - they're very creative and that part of the aspect tends to manifest first in synastry. Right off the bat my ex and I bonded over creative things but it took a month or two before I realized how good our chemistry was. I think minor aspects generally take longer to manifest than major aspects.

Assuming the person feels the quintile - because I am not sure they are always felt, at least not right away - then yes, the Mars person would be very into to the Moon person. Even in soft aspect Mars-Moon tends to produce quite a bit of attraction.
