For example, I do NOT reveal to people how intelligent I am when it comes to Astrology, because I feel like I'll be judged. People who don't believe in astrology are quick to call you crazy and say that astrology isn't real. One time, I was on the computer looking at somebody's natal chart and a friend of mines who was behind me (without me knowing) asked.. Hey, what's that? I refused to tell them. And I minimized the tab I believe. I'm not sure but I've always thought this was because of my Jupiter in the 12th house. I mean, it makes sense to me... I'm also secretive about how into astrology I am and about a lot of other things too, sometimes for no reason. I have Mercury square Pluto so I'm pretty sure that's why. IP: Logged

I'm slowly introducing a select audience to my interests. But just to the fact that I'm interested, no details for the most part. Some people know all about my hard core astro side. Considering I've been into astro for um, maybe 9 years, my continued secretive behavior is probably saying a lot. I have a lot of 8th house planets trine my Jupiter in 12th. So all the planets are in agreement: this is good for the soul+healing but no one else needs to be an active part of the process... unless they're similar on on the same path. My Venus conjunct MC says don't embarrass me in public. My moon in 6th house is happy to serve at other planets' pleasure. It's an unanimous decision! IP: Logged

I don't necessarily want to, I just do. I guess part of it comes with being worried about being judged. I attribute it to my Moon and Mars in the 12th. I also have Chiron in the 3rd, so I wonder if that does anything too with hiding information because of it being in the house of communication. I have Mercury and Sun there though, so I do feel a strong need at times to share things I know/find interesting, but I'm definitely not always verbal about it. IP: Logged

I have sagg on 12 th house cusp( but I tend to be very private ab my religious viewes, not that much on astrology..I mean I revealed sm things, but only to my mom and closest persons in my life) And I also have Jupiter(in virgo) in 8th house cusp. ( I am very private ab my money, I am generous( not so modest at the moment,haha..but It's true..still I hide them and count them in secret, and also abb my sexual life/fantasies, not the type of talking with anyone on that stuff. Is not ab reluctance, but I like to keep it private .etc. ) that's Jupiter's work I think. IP: Logged

Scorpio placements very much so. I think its because I also do not want to expose myself to ridicule. I can be incredibly sensitive about that(Moon/ Mercury/Mars T-square in Cardinal signs Cancer, Capricorn, Libra respectively) But I also reckon that it has to do with one's personality: How secretive you are really etc. Even when it comes to reading an sms from your mother. Some people really don't mind explaining Astrology to others; even when the audience is not receptive; they don't take it personally. But as far as "hidden" knowledge is concerned, I'd say that any planet in the 8th house can indicate that. And, to be clear, this is not "hidden" in the strict sense of the definition of the word,but it just means that you may barely be scratching the surface: That there is so much more going on deep within the individual and there is a lot more where that came from. 12th house placements, to me, often show someone who is "expected" to be what the cusp sign of that house is. If for instance , the person has Gemini on the 12th house cusp and Jupiter there,they are "expected" to be chatty,changeable and well-read. But also gossipy, scattered, superficial and verbose. If Pisces is there, they are expected to be compassionate, sympathetic,tender and spiritual. Alternatively they can also be seen as naive,unrealistic,deceptive and bogus. Whether or not they associate it with their 1st house(mask) is not the issue; as people often assume that they are that planet before they have a leg in. A good example is George Bush. The people from my country often perceived him as "Daddy's little boy",conservative Texan cowboy with strong patriotic roots. When I looked at his chart, I saw that he had Cancer on the cusp of the 12th house with the Sun there. Cancer is a very patriotic sign and is also the zodiac sign of the country that he was President of. Cancer is also a sign that is tied to family, roots and belonging. The maintenance of traditions and values one was taught when young, is very important to this sign. IP: Logged
