I have six planets in 8th house. My life...hmmm....imagine someone puts something you love the most under their car wheel and rolls over it. That kind of describes my life. IP: Logged |

That is interesting I have capricorn in the eight house too and while biking today was daydreaming about going to film school and making music videos in a noir style in the forest...using it as a backdrop....must be the stars installing in us similar favors.IP: Logged |

Very interesting....my life is like a series of sacrifices....doing good in school for the family....etc....to make parents proud when all I really do is want to have fun.lol....but I find when I work hard in honor and truth I acquire my freedom....by mine own sacrifice I become a Phoenix and buy my time to have some fun.

In the forest?Interesting. I'd like to see that, more refreshing than a port huh? I'm not a film student but my major requires us to work with many different types of visual media. I like Noir idk it's very Neptune/Scorpio/Capricorn-esque But Im double majoring and the other is in art direction! I would love to work with Lana Del Rey and shoot a MV one day.. That's like my list of things to do after I graduate.. IP: Logged |

I wrote so much that I categorized everything for you! My planets Mercury, eros, sun, Saturn in 8th. Uranus on the border staging a rebellion and leaning towards 9th. I recently had someone illuminate me to my 8th house behavior. Apparently, I am secretive. Who knew! Wonder why My passions are psychology, astrology, writing (better than my Internet rambling, I promise), money, strategic planning, studying people. others that are not 8th house topics: dressing up! Being on stage for the public. Relationships. Sharing is a delicate thing. One must choose wisely or it will backfire. I share my food generously, and I am friends with many but don't share my personal life. For example, my music preferences reveal so much, it is scary to share that. I'm learning to do it though. Apparently, you can choose what to share lol. Privacy: I have 2 sides. The public one and the private one. They're well divided. At one point, the public side had a lot of convenient lies attached to it. As a teenager, I used to lie a lot (mercury) to protect my private side (sun Saturn conjunct =pain). Probably some kind of pathological lying disorder. Now I'm all good. I try not average more than 1 major lie in real life relationship/friendship. For me, that's progress. On the Internet, I don't lie. Why would one need to? With Saturn in 8th, I did wait a while to lose my virginity. With eros conjunct sun, Mercury, I always knew I was so into role playing, dirty talk and yes, sex, that if I didn't control myself, I'd end up in some kind of foolish conundrum or the other. If not a disease or unwanted pregnancy, then self abuse of the heart/moon. I didn't want such a situation. I am glad that I got it out of the way a while ago though. Sun Saturn = childhood abuse. This is very true for me. This defined most of my caregivers. Either they were perpetrators or they didn't stand up for me when I said anything. Because it is in my 8th, it included sexual and emotional abuse. Not always. For example, parents were emotionally and physically abusive, but never sexually. Surprisingly enough, I was always aware of 8th house topics, so my sexual abuse and very active childhood exploration of sexuality didn't affect one another. I knew bad people did bad things but I could still do secretive kid "fun" things with other kids. I was very precocious in my "explorations." Headstart is an understatement. When I tell people what I was upto as a kid, they just shake their heads at me and say, no most 4 year olds don't do anything that extreme. Research: Mercury in 8th. I dig a lot. I think a lot about 8th house topics. I keep most of these to myself unless someone shares my 8th house interests. Astrology, investment, secrets, intimacy, I think about it all. I actively research and study these topics. Oh one more asteroid: Casanova. I have sun exactly conjunct Casanova. As a female, this manifested in a very funny way. When I was 16, I stumbled across the pick up artist community on the Internet. Their conversations fascinated me. I never posted, only lurked. I used to subscribe to some emails. They were very entertaining. I badly wanted to discover female sources of power, but found nothing. Nowhere. It was upsetting. Later, I discovered psychology. I realized that my moon must be fulfilled before I can seek power. That's off topic though. I found... shall we call it libra power? 7th house power. Off topic, like I said. IP: Logged |

^^ i also have mercury in the 8th, i love to probe and dig deep. i love history and occult subjects; the unknown, paranormal, unknown.my life experiences do reflect 8th house sun descriptions: distant relationship with the father (louis tomlinson of one direction also has sun in 8H he also had a difficult relationship with his own father). i've had a lot of regenerative experiences in my life, most of them occuring during harsh pluto transits...not the most pleasant experiences but oh well. careerwise all of the descriptions ive read infer to work in finance. i couldnt think of anything worse lol accounting, bookeeping all that jazz. psychology, i like it but its more of a hobby for me. i'm studying philosophy at the moment but can't see myself making a job out of it. i want a fun job and to travel. 8th house cusp in Sag; Sun, Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus all there. This house is very difficult for me to decipher. Mostly because it really is not tangible. One thing that rings true for me though is ....periodic melancholia. This house is deeply emotional and so, my fiery Sag energy is passionate about stuff that dig deep; death, ghosts, creation(deliberate),universal laws, healing through love etc. I haven't met many eighth house people and so, I haven't had the chance to truly see how this plays out in another. I wouldn't consider me an 8th house person with just Uranus and Neptune in there, but I am also a Scorpio with mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Pluto in Scorpio. My pluto is also conjunct my mars and Sun. Anyway, my Uranus in the 8th house sticks out like a soar thumb even though I already moon square Uranus too. That Uranus in the 8th makes my affairs with people way more unpredictable and exciting. Something unfortunate financially or emotionally always happens in my love relationships and at first I blamed if on my moon-Uranus square until I noticed Uranus was in my 8th house. IP: Logged |

Im a Aries moon 8th houser. Since I was little I've been fascinated by death. Career day I chose to go with the undertaker. Taxidermy interests me as well. I've studied decomposition. I've studied different ways people commit suicide (though I'm not suicidal), what happens when people drug overdose.. But these won't be a part of my career like I thought they would be when I was younger
Vedic astrology describes me having a stuffed relationship with my mother; get mind might not be right; and she'll die early. All true. She was an alcoholic who was the most wonderful mother sober, but after that first drink it was a switch. She became abusive mentally and sometimes physically. It eventually killed her.
The mysticism side. Interested and invested in all of it. Astrology, ghosts, divination My mind is open to it all.
Shared resources... I depend on others and they depend on me My SO owns the house and brings the bacon home, but I make sure it's smooth operating and caretaker for the children.

Libra 8thhouse here with Moon conjunct Venus and Mars. Mars conjunct Eros almost exact.I'm very passionate about many things. I'm open minded. I'm not afraid of embracing my dark side (just a little) and I'm drawn to people that have one. IP: Logged |

I have an 8H Pisces moon. Ditto to everything fairaqua said: interest in death and the occult, early loss of mother, sharing resources now. I can be obsessive, secretive, elusive. From The Astrology Place: quote: The 8th house moon needs to merge emotionally with others...
I wouldn't call it a "need" because I don't feel that I have a choice in the matter. I just take on people's emotions. quote: ...and they become deeply and intensely attached to people, and it takes a very long time to recover from hurts, rejections and losses. They may have come from a family background where these same intense and passionate feelings was frustrated, and so blackened the emotional atmosphere of their childhood.
YES quote: Sometimes this placement represents an inheritance from the mother; the 8th house represents what we inherit from ancestors and signifies deep dark secrets, and all the kinds of abuses that have been poisoning the lives of many generations.
That is so insightful. Yes, I feel that very strongly. quote: A “heavy” emotional nature is often present and there may be confrontations of many sorts, such intensity means that they cannot just skim the surface of life. They often possess a more honest and profound understanding of life than most people do.
My emotional nature is not always heavy, and I rarely confront people, but if there's a problem and everyone's tip-toeing around it, trying not to rock the boat....I'll be the one to rock the boat. 'Can't say that I understand life better than other people, but I think I do try harder to broach difficult topics, gray areas, actual REALITY in all of its complexity, than some of the people I know. In real life, most of my friends have key 8th house placements and/or strong Pisces energy. I need that. quote: The overwhelming need is to feel intensely and probe the dark depths of the soul...

Do you feel like your family harbors a deep dark secret from generations ago? I do. I have done up my family tree and Googled names because I feel like there is some secret that my family is hiding from the younger generation. I feel like it has to do with my great grandfather, possibly raping a woman of another race and maybe in the kkk. It's just something I picked up as a child from one of the sheds in his yard. That she'd always made my mind feel weird, like it was doing flips. Id get a weird feeling in my stomach too. The swing set was right in front of it and I never wanted to play on it because the shed gave me a weird feeling. None of the other sheds did that to me though. Hm. Idk. Maybe an over active imagination.

^^ Of course, I have no way of knowing, but I know that when I was young, I was mostly going on raw instincts. And if I was being imaginative, it was like...I was putting together imagery to match the energies that were already there, just not overt. So I definitely think it's possible that you really sensed something bad that had happened in the shed.Children pick up on a lot because their expectations aren't clouding their judgement. They see what's there, not what's supposed to be there. ---- Yes, lots of old wounds, pain and anguish on my father's side especially. I was hyper-aware of everything and sick to my stomach at all family events growing up, no matter how "friendly" things appeared on the surface. IP: Logged |

8th house threads are my favourite!I experience 'small deaths' at every junction of my life. It's an ongoing process and I feel the real me is still 'loading'. I have venus, saturn, mercury, sun in the 8th house Leo. In a nutshell it feels like I have those huge issues lying silently beneath my pillow sleeping quietly with me all this time and one fine day they decide to make their presence known all at once. Also I've noticed people who are most comfortable with me, have a stellium in scorp and or in capricorn (I know I practically scare people away without meaning to it's just the way I talk) IP: Logged |
