Do you guys find that emotional privacy is very important to you? Do you tend to hide your true feelings from people, sometimes even from those who are close to you? And do you often find that you feel that you can fix your problems on your own?----------------------

This is something that I have thought about a lot. I have a leo stellium and a cancer moon.I don't think I purposely hide my feelings, I think I am more reactive and sometimes I don't react the way my heart is wanting me to react,for the simple reason that I am not listening.That's a complicated scenario that usually pops up in my life when I am emotionally attached to the person.
I normally can't hide my true feelings towards people I don't like or I don't want to talk. It's going to be very obvious. quote:

I don't know, if I count, but I can relate 100% with opinions above. My Moon isn't in water sign, it's 0 degree Sag (I still question my mum about tob accuracy), but it's in 4th house, and conjunct Scorpio IC.
Also, in Vedic, it's in Scorpio. Anyway, Moon is squaring my Leo Sun. I'm very emotional inside, but I feel uncomfortable expressing my feelings. My Moon is also conjunct Uranus and Jupiter, so feelings run big and can be unstable. I tend to keep it all to myself, because I feel vulnerable when I open up. IP: Logged |

Not emotional privacy...but respite. I need a 24 hr stretch in a week where I don't have to deal with other peoples' stuff to keep an even keel. Leo Sun/Pisces Moon. Also scorp mc square the moon! IP: Logged |

Remember seeing the air sun water moon thread and knew it was only a matter of time this one popped up. The simple answer for me? Yes. Yes I do. I do it a lot actually, much more than I would like to. But my Libra side sees the need for harmony and that being totally honest and upfront would create some big problems. Emotional privacy is a must for me though because otherwise that crap won't come out.
But I'm an 8 life path so I know I'm meant to learn from all of the bad stuff I have to go through, so yes I can fix my own problems. It just takes time.

Leo Sun/Scorpio Moon. Privacy is important, yes. I need time to sort out my feelings. But, I don't like hiding them, either. It's just such an unhealthy way to live. It's truly not good for you to bottle all of that up. I'm a performer, an actor, so that helps a lot in putting my emotions out there. I think I project a lot of strength, but I'm not afraid to show the vulnerable side along with that tough, fierce side. It's important, though, to know who's going to respect that and who's going to be dismissive/mean/insensitive about it. I know some people will be, but not ALL people. So, that helps to protect me sometimes but not keep me closed-off and unable to talk to anyone about my feelings. But, yes, there are definitely times when I do just handle my emotional issues on my own, without needing to call someone or tell someone. Mostly because I'm self-reliant and insightful enough to do that. So, clearly, we Water Moons are very, very complex.  ------------------

Shout out to Leos ITT! Seems like most Leos on LG have water moons. Its probably the water moons that's the reasons we're into astrology.------------------

I have a Leo Sun, but not a water moon, though my moon is in the 12th house so sometimes I actually feel more like a water moon (I guess that would be Pisces then if you were to be exact) and I have a water (Cancer) ASC. Emotional privacy is definitely important to me, and without it I feel like I wouldn't be able to function. I need my alone time after being around people for awhile, I need to be by myself and recollect my thoughts/emotions and do my own thing. I don't have to be in complete solitude with no noise, but I like to at least be alone after awhile. And I for sure don't always reveal my true feelings to people. I keep a lot of stuff hidden from view and I lot of the time I prefer it that way. Other times I wish I had good friends to be able to communicate with, but I really don't so I deal with it as best I can. But I'd say 99% of people don't really know the 'real' me, and sometimes I'm not even sure I know who I really am. It's funny. I usually have to end up letting people think what they want about me, unless I can tell they really don't understand and they're totally off, then I will speak up and try to explain myself. As for solving my own issues, at times I feel that I always sort things out myself, and I talk myself through what I'm dealing with in my alone time. I'm super close to my mom and we have a good emotional connection so she helps me a lot too to feel more balanced when I'm down. I feel pretty blessed that we're so close despite my 12th house moon, because I know it can be a difficult placement for some regarding their mother. But she is the only person who knows the most about me than anyone else, and I can pretty much tell her anything and not feel judged. IP: Logged |

A: Extremely...but I've realized healing means I have to stop being like that, it makes my heart believe I'm devalueing my feelings or not displaying my true needs and my ego n emotions get out of balance when thats done, it's almost feels I'm ashamed or disrespecting my heart, I've had to train myself to be different in order to be open to love instead of so guarded. A: Yes, but again....it's disrespectful to myself when I'm not authentic n proud to announce my true feelings. Q: "And do you often find that you feel that you can fix your problems on your own?" A: Always....but I've realized that is a huge reason why I feel so alone, it's something I'm working on. Thinking I must handle everything because I'm really good at it leaves me never allowing others to be part of the deepest parts of me, I'm cutting them off from knowing the vulnerable sides of me...and that's what makes us human and connected to each other.
I'm having to learn to not feel like I'm using others or worry that they are getting to close to me when I ask for help.
I need to allow others to lift some of the burden off me so that I free my heart of so much weight n can feel light n airy instead of weighed down n burdened by life. IP: Logged |

Thanks for your replies guys. I really appreciate it. I'm just asking this because I notice this pattern within myself, this guy I've been talking to, and my brother.My friend is an Aries sun and we both have Cancer moon. At first, it was hard for me to open up to him completely because I had past emotional scars that haven't healed. I never thought he had them either. I tried to get him to open up, but it's kinda hard. He did tell me some stuff but he seems very guarded about his feelings. This also rings true for my brother, who is a Leo sun with Scorpio moon. He seems to get very emotional, but he seldom shows it. It's like he keeps them bottled up inside. And then when he's ready to erupt, everything goes pretty bad. Yes. Through spiritual means, I am able to fix ALL problems. ALL. To conclude, I've learned to express both my Sun Sagittarius and Moon Cancer positions. With Sagittarius, I'll always be curious, wanting to learn and explore. Always. With Cancer Moon, I'll always be the mother hen and tending to others. I am also an Aries Sun with Pisces Moon. I'm pretty open with my emotions. At least, I think I am...I could be deluding myself. I have Mercury at 8º Pisces and Moon at 13º Pisces. My husband is one of the most emotionally guarded people I've met. He is Cancer Sun, Capricorn Moon. IP: Logged |

Yes - My privacy is highly important to me. Especially about my finances or my love life. Yes - I do prefer to fix my problems on my own. I find that usually, I'm a much more dependable friend to others than they are to me. No - I do not hide my feelings or who I am. I'm a rather honest & up-front person.
