Why does this sound like it could be for Sagittarius.

LOl wtf..

but I feel like gemini/sag is the most vague axis in the zodiac.

I get there is a theme of student and teacher but often I notice they tend to exchange roles..

the other mutable axis Virgo and pisces are so different..

With my experiences with sag is we're both spontaneous, yes.
and when we start going it's like this tornado ripping through and it's like can we chill for like 1 minute and maybe just talk about what is even happening.
That's were the differences lie, that gemini was to understand and sag just wants to be. But I think sag needs someone is more grounded because gemini certainly isn't.

There is no room for growth unlike the other axises. like Aries and Libra cap and cancer can learn from each other.

quote:
On the mutable air/fire, Gemini/Sagittarius axis we meet the planetary rulers Mercury and Jupiter, which describe learning and the gathering of information on the one hand, and its dissemination on the other hand.

This axis of exploration concerns the relationship between information and meaning, facts and knowledge, the student and the teacher, the primary school and the university. The poles of this axis complete and complement each other. If the Gemini end loses touch with the bigger picture, with the value or purpose of the information it is gathering, then everything can become trivial, superficial and meaningless, even to the point of nihilism. If, on the other hand, Sagittarius loses touch with Gemini, the sense of having privileged access to the one truth can lead to arrogance and fundamentalism, cut off from the detachment and relative truths of Gemini.

Charts in which this theme will come to life are those with several planets in Gemini or Sagittarius, in the 3rd or 9th houses, or with this axis on one of the angles. If we are identified only with the Gemini end of this axis, then we may become caught in a kind of perpetual childhood or as a perennial student, living a provisional existence which allows us to remain uncommitted and unaccountable, refusing to be pinned down in any way. In the end, this can become the very kind of trap we have always been so determined to avoid, since it is a refusal to mature or to contribute anything meaningful to the society to which we belong.

If, on the other hand, we identify only with the Sagittarius end of this axis, then our quest for wisdom, meaning and for the philosophical fire will expand unchecked until it begins to overwhelm us. If we lose our objectivity, and ignore the actual facts, then we will find ourselves increasingly out of touch with, and alienated from, the very sense of vision and meaning which was so important to us, because we will not have any perspective or have learned to put our vision into words, or developed the ability to discuss it objectively with others, to compare it to other schools of thought or to teach it. We may well start to demand acolytes and disciples who will follow us unquestioningly and, paradoxically, become increasingly dependent upon them for our sense of authority, status and meaning. When this axis becomes particularly polarised, either end can become a trap, which is inappropriate to the mutable nature of these two signs.

I also find that wherever Jupiter is placed is where we long for understanding but we never seem to get enough of it, Jupiter always wants more.

You suuuuuck! I hate guessing wrong.

Did you just take the test or have you read the descriptions of the functions?

Try to guess mine. If you get it wrong then we'll both fess up?

I definitely think you have introverted intuition but I could be wrong.

You seem to be very interested in Sexual subjects. The Black Hole metaphor sounds like how you want to drag in all information pertaining to sexuality, sexual expression, sexual relationships, et cetera.

Haha Nope. Well I guess we'll both have to remain mysteries then.

Where is your Jupiter placed, Cap? Any aspects to it?

INTJ is the most similar type for an introvert. INFP?

My Jupiter is in Leo. Opposite Venus, sextile MC.

What is the most introverted extrovert of MBTI?

Hm. . .interesting.

Lol, this is getting interesting. An extrovert who can only handle 1 person. Edit: Ugh, I was distracted. ENTP?

Hahaha no no. I can handle many people. It's the close relationships. I make superficial friendships every time I speak to someone. It's like

Me: "Hi, my name is. . . "

Them: "Let's be friends!"

and I think in my head "I have no time for you." but I say out loud "Yeahhh. . . *huge smile*"

Disclaimer: This is an exaggeration but not a huge one.

Problems. I'm constantly letting people down. But also constantly making them feel great about themselves. I love children even though I'm not going to have any.

Can you guess now?

Chocolate anything always. You're a curious case. I would expect an ENFP to desire multiple close relationships. Anyway, you were close too

Mmmmm it's good cake, seriously! =O

Hm. . . close to intj. INTP for you?

Well, I'm drawn to people that are withholding. I like when it's hard to bring out their friendly side and their spontaneity because it's SO easy with pretty much everyone else. That's not to say that I like people without a backbone though of course.

What about you, what kind of personalities are you drawn to?

I don't think MBTI explains everything about us. The enneagram and instinctual variants can tell us more about our personalities but I think environment can alter us through extreme experiences too.

Yep. Well, there's a chance I'm a very jaded INFJ but currently I identify most with INTP. I'm drawn to no people. I'm a misanthropist and I can only tolerate my species on the net Enneagram? Been there, done that. I wasn't sure about the last type in my tritype but I think I might have figured it out.

I like to research various things. Sex is one of them perhaps due to my Pluto and Eros in the 3rd and Pluto opposite Mars (8th house ruler). I don't feel like practising but I don't mind gathering some theory ^^

I see them as different primarily because Sagittarius has an old vibe and Gemini has a young vibe.

Sagittarians tend to be melancholic. They are philosophical.. at times cynical... They ask themselves questions like: 'why are we here' - 'do we deserve to be here' - 'are we doing enough to stop the killing of whales?' - and the answers to their questions mean something to them on a very emotional level (more than sex and love or money).

Their political opinions, spiritual beliefs and philosophical inclinations are extremely important to them. While a Gemini can jump from one idea to the next and maybe see value in varied viewpoints.. a Sagittarian can be relentlessly stubborn in his/her perspective. Apart from Aries and Libra - Sagittarus would have to be the next most argumentative sign. They never give up on their inner morality. They have strong ideas about what should and shouldn't happen in the world at large.. This makes them passionate politicians when they get into politics.

Gemini is not so emotionally involved in their ideas about the world. They love new things, new people, new books, new topics... basically information.. because they enjoy finding out interesting stuff.. learning about new areas - and they usually have a very good memory so they can gather a lot more general knowledge than other non-Geminian types. This whole process of acquiring info - is fun for a Gemini.. Life is about learning. For Sagittarius - life is about preaching lol not necessarily in a negative sense.. But the teacher/student dichotomy is pretty strong. I don't see it as a minor personality difference between them.

I've known many Gemini and Sagittarius men and also Gemini women.. but I don't seem to meet many Sagittarius women. At least when it comes to the men - they react very differently to me.. so I can't see them as similar. If I said to a Sagittarius: "I believe x or y should happen politically .. because the world would be a better place if x or y happened"... They usually have a drastically opposed perspective and they start passionately arguing with me - and it just never ends.
If I said the same thing to a Gemini - he would be like: "yes.. sure.. whatever.. look!! giraffe! why do they have a giraffe in that shop???"

@Cappy: Ah I see.

I understand just collecting data.

You're drawn to people but keep your distance. Your crushes for example are your way of liking something but making sure the possibility of being with them is so small as to be negligible. An allowable attraction. Do they all have something in common?

@Odette:

Hm. . . I've never met a Sun in Sagittarius either.

Your description is on point. How are those nice and snug moderator shoes breaking in?

I'm still pining for your explanation of Mars/Pluto attraction/repulsion info!
