Venus square Saturn No, I make friends easily because I literally pick who I want to be friends with and do it. I can't explain what draws me to certain people though other than they tend to be misfits in someway (Moon trine Uranus, Uranus 7th house, Venus in the 11th. Guess that influence is a lot stronger.) It's not hard for me to make friends but it's kinda hard for me to keep them. I tend to be really friendly and "interested" in them at the beginning, but then I'd focus on s.t else and kinda forget to maintain the friendship. Most peopole get annoyed with that, which is understandable. Still, there are some who aren't bothered by that at all, and they stick with me. IP: Logged |

I throw a party or large shindig every 2 months. They show up. It must not be that hard  maybe that's my libra moon? I need social activity. But I've gone through phases of life where i only had a couple of friends. There were clearly no parties then. Venus in Capricorn. I don't mix my classy and not so classy groups of people. It makes me very nervous. I carefully curate my guest list. I often invite people who've never met each other so I always make sure they have things in common. I like to matchmake friendships. Oh I have 2 Venus cap guy friends. All our venuses conjunct. They have few friends!One of those guys (aqua) and I throw parties together. He's good at helping me plan. He's great at entertaining my friends. There has to be a good combination of talkers and listeners. He's a talker. The other one is pure listener. IP: Logged |

Gotta 2nd Sag_Stellium. Quite easy to attract ppl who'd like to hold a friendship. But uhh...I get too self-absorbed, more so introverted actually. I have a Cap stellium in 3H (which includes venus) and my friends can get an intellectual conversation out of me; I'm a very good listener and I'm huge on personal communication but not the impersonal stuff! I.E cellular calls and texts. A serious infraction (and even a seemingly minor issue) in the friendship makes me pull back and then they just fade out. My Aqua sun is cozy in 4H pisces so I need friends who will "get me" and my need for seclusion more often than not. IP: Logged |

I'm not particularly social with strangers and I usually lose touch with most friends. I don't usually open to people, even if I do like the person. People see me as very aloof and perhaps a bit passive. Capricorn Venus in the ninth conjunct Neptune and Uranus, trine Ascendant and Chiron.------------------

Now that you mentioned this, all my social skills were acquired by observation as opposed to having them naturally. I came off as aloof and passive. "Come to me" was my theme. When I was a little tiny kid, I'd just stand around and wait for kids to befriend me. Once that was done, I could initiate conversations. God forbid I actually had to say hi to another little kid first. Total crisis. I may have had cried silent tears. When I was in HS, people thought I was a total B, because I would stand right next to them (having never been introduced officially) in the middle of a conversation (with my friend), look at them and not say a word to them. I just didn't know how to say hi first! I really didn't! I was shy. But now I'm a social butterfly with practical Capricorn wings. I love meeting people. I can introduce myself to anyone. I'm assuming you are a Taurus Asc?
That probably has something to do with it. I have venus conjunct neptune, uranus and mars, trining my Asc as well (tho mars doesn't make the trine). I find that there are times when I would make an effort to reach out if I like a group but if there are environments where I'm just completely standoffish IP: Logged |
