I've got a very close friend who is all scorpio/capricorn in her chart…. but her house placement is all fire and air. She got many problems with many things in life… it's like her personality is in some kind of deep contradiction because her fire/air house placements makes her fiery and outgoing, while her scorpio/capricorn planets makes her like more comfortable, stable and "down-to-earth" people…I don't know how to give her any advice regarding suitable partners… she often falls for the unstable kind of people with mental problems, cause I think she likes the thrill and adventure/romance about it, but deep down she doesn't fit with these people, she needs someone more down-to-earth and "boring"…. Do you have some advice? IP: Logged |

I have the Sun, Venus, Mars, Saturn, Neptune and the NN in fire houses, Pluto and Jupiter air houses and I think I'm more earthy than fiery or airy. 2 personal planets in air, one personal and one transpersonal in fire and the rest is earth including the Ascendant. My advice: let her do what she wants. Sooner or later she'll get tired. ------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy. IP: Logged |

Well, then your are not exactly a big contradiction… my friend is ONLY scorpio/capricorn and ONLY fire/air houses, except I think her sun in 10th house…the rest is a stellium in 1st house and 9th house and moon in 3rd house IP: Logged |

When my contradictions get too much romantically, I try to get in touch with my moon. Because if I do what's best for my moon, I usually do what's best for me. When I disobey this rule, chaos reigns. And let me tell you, chaos is too much fun to resist sometimes But you just have to learn to respect your heart and cherish its deeper needs. I'm still learning this lesson. Knowledge and application are not the same thing. I'm currently in the middle of one of these "lessons." Hope this helps your friend. IP: Logged |

think you are right, but she has serious troubles with this… she has taurus moon in 3rd (rest of her chart is scorp/cap) And moon opposition pluto… she thinks romance is the only way to go, and if she doesn't feel enough thrill and enthusiasm (from her own side) then she doesn't think the person is right for her… and you can imagine how many douchbag she attracts with that mentality IP: Logged |

Well, I only have 1 planet in an earth house too Does she know her chart? It would be good to show it to her and explain it. It should help her realize what's best for her.------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy. IP: Logged |

yup she is into astrology like me, though I'm much more professional than she is… she thinks her chart is c***, and I've tried so many times explaining her that it is not, but she doesn't seem to understand yet… right now she just came to realize how her fiery houses makes her a bit "over the edge/eccentric and aries-like", cause I told her that her 1st house stellium will make her a bit like an aries more so than the typical capricorn… but she just seems to misinterpret that to attract douchbags lol IP: Logged |

Could there be things in the 4th, 5th, 7th and 8th house that are causing this? Someone with Mars in 5th and Saturn in 7th, for instance, will desire stable partnerships(Saturn in 7th) but will also have a very turbulent love-life(5th Mars). If the two are square, this may be painfully obvious when she marries someone that is much too self-centered for partnership. The marriage may prove quite challenging. Sometimes its not the planets per se,but could be that the ruler of the 4th house, say Jupiter, is squaring a planet in 5th house- the Moon. So, yes, her lovers tend to be the nurturing types(5th house Moon) but the square to the ruler of the 4th house suggests an inability to settle down(Jupiter in 4th) with them. She may think that they are great, but she just doesn't see herself settling with them. She may even prefer that the relationship remain "open". Very few, if any people, have the "perfect" chart. I think its just a question of making the squares and positions of the planets in the relevant house, work for us. IP: Logged |
