I find semi-sextiles to be very personalized aspects in natal charts due to the close orb ( a maximum of 2) and their volatility.

Hypothetically, an Enlightened one (whatever that means) would have a planet/angle each in a zodiac sign in perfect semi-sextiles forming a 12-pointed Star, the Zodiac integrated.

A semi-sextile always connects a feminine sign with a masculine one and shows a harmonious passing from one sign to the other. The passing from one sign to the other is in accordance with the integration of the entire zodiac within oneself, the Hero's Journey.

A semi-sextile is in accordance with progressions in natal and relationship charts. Any planet/angle in a chart is meant to pass through the lesson of the following 1 or 2 signs during a lifetime.

Semi-sextiles are personalized and very Yin/Yang in synastry too.

I definitely feel my own semi-sextiles, I have:

Venus/Pluto: my passions are generally intense, in everything I do
Sun/Valentine: as far as I remember, always been in love LOL
Mars/Union semi-sextile Priapus: hm, kinda self-explanatory; I do have an intense feeling of "union" connected with the physical.
Mercury/Vesta: committed to all kinds of intellectual pursuits, can be obsessive too

Do you feel your semi-sextiles?

Interesting thread.

When I was first learning I though the minor aspects a bit blah. But I find they really do define quite specific things about us where as the major ones, well you know, there's a lot going on there.

So they tend to be much easier to relate to. (If that makes sense).

I think that too. They're like your own thing. Do you have semi-sextiles in your natal or your synastry?

I noticed a lot of semi-sextile patterns in famous love synastries.

I haven`t made up my mind about them yet.

my own semisextiles:

Mars 5 Sag 12th - Venus 6 Cap 1st
Sun 26 Sag 1st - Valentine 27 Cap 12th
Moon 17 Aqua 2nd - Juno 17 Pisces 3rd
Pallas 10 Aqua 2nd - Jupiter 11 Pisc 3rd
Karma 16 Gem 7th - Saturn 17 Cancer 8th

There are some semisextle in the synastry; one caught my initial attention, though semisextiles usually never do, because of its tightness.

His Venus on 25.55 Capricorn semisextile
my Sun on 25.56 Sagittarius

Maybe I noticed becuase when we met he had in his own chart.

Pr Sun on 25.55 Cap conjunct n Venus on 25.55 Cap.

EDIT:
Oh I forgot I also have PALLAS semisextile CERES with an orb of only 28 minutes.

PALLAS is involved in a minor triangle with my Pluto and NN-Neptune-ASC-Mars
Pallas 9 Aqua trine Pluto 9 Libra; sextile
Neptune 9 Sag, NN 10 Sag, ASC 7 Sag, Mars 5 Sag, Atlantis 8 Sag

CERES is obviously part of this somehow, too, being at 9 Pisces (and conj. my Jupiter on 11 Pisces), quinkunx Pluto, square Neptune-NN-ASC -Atlantis

You see? there's your connection..

I have Sun/Valentine and Saturn/Karma too.

You are right, if the semisextile is part of a significant configuration, it becomes more potent. Or it might emphasize a certain sign energy, like Virgo/Pisces here. I think Pallas might be connected to Virgo and possibly Libra, as a symbol for justice too.

Sun/NN
Mars/Jupiter
Mars/Ceres
Pluto/NN
Asc/Psyche

I wish there were more interpretations on these. I don't know how they really factor in my life personally.

Me too there none on minor aspects....
Their so myserious or no one cares to explore them in depth.

Which is actually extreeeemlly sad for western astrology because there is not that much going and aspects are really the only thing it has over vedic.

I have mars semi square venus and I feel like its really significant.

You have a Sun/Pluto sextile then, with NN as a midpoint: do you feel like you are the master of your destiny? You must have some sort of above average power in this life or power/powerlessness lessons.

Mars/Jupiter: do you have a strong Mars, like work stamina etc? depending on your Mars placement. Ceres enhances that too.

ASC Psyche could mean a lot of things I guess, ranging from a beautiful, soulful appearance to a gentle, psychological approach with people.

Oh, i do understand them, clearly.

I have Moon @13 Leo, ASC @13 Virgo and Venus @14 Libra.

So basically my ASC is in the middle of the Moon-Venus sextile. Somehow both my Leo Moon and Libra Venus blends into my ASC, showing who i am, yet it never shows completely the true me.

In synastry with Him - my Venus semisextile his Saturn 1 degree. This is also significant, now if i think about it, because obviously his Saturn fits in the pattern of my Moon-ASC-Venus. And squares my Moon for that matter, conjuncting my Pluto.

Ehh, I think I'm pretty average to be honest. I mean, I kind of have a certain optimism about my life path even when things seem to be really bad or I'm facing a rough obstacle but I wouldn't say I'm really powerful (in my eyes).

My Mars is in Scorpio in 5th Square my Moon and Sesqui-quadrate my MC. I work hard and have a good drive/stamina especially if I'm really focused on something or have a certain goal in mind.

I don't know about Asc/Psyche though lol, someone else other than myself would have to be the judge of that.

Semi-sextiles. In Linda Goodman's Love Signs semi-sextiles are described.

Here it is in my own words...

The sign behind often feels they can learn something from the sign ahead, the sign ahead's way of being strikes them more 'advanced' in some way (not to be confused with better). The sign ahead is the theoretical 2nd house to sign behind. So to the sign behind the next sign may appear to 'have' something special that it takes to get ahead. Meanwhile the sign ahead looks back towards the sign behind with understanding and compassion for their foibles. They 'get' why the sign behind is the way that they are, may see them as vulnerable, and want to protect them in a way. The sign behind is the 12th house to the sign ahead. The sign ahead tends to be accepting and tolerant towards the sign behind.

Some just confirm the rest of the chart.

The one that really hit me though was sun semi-sextile Venus, I feel uncomfortable in ugly places, which is VERY true. I never understood why. Now I do! I soak up the sad environment and feel sad. Ugly places make me sad and uncomfortable.

I've not looked into the minors in synastry or asteroids. I'm still learning! There's a LOT to get through. But I have a growing appreciation for the minors.
