Venus is the Morning Star when it rises before the Sun (for example: Venus is at 12° Aries and the Sun is at 6° Taurus).

Venus in this position takes the lead and is quite self-sufficient. Venus is courageous and acting on impulses (often resulting in the possibility of (more) affairs).

Venus is the Evening Star when it rises after the Sun (for example: the Sun is at 12° Aries and Venus is at 6° Taurus).

In this position, Venus in the horoscope is more sensual, less active and more reactive and introvert. You don't jump into love easily and are more hesitant resulting in the possibility of less affairs. Love is lived internally.

The focus is more on creativity.

Some say that Morning Star Venus peeps are more passionate & impulsive whilst Evening Star Venus types are more likely to be sedate and strategic. If your Venus is at a degree earlier than your Sun, you’re a Morning Star Venus. After your Sun, you’re an Evening Star Venus. For example, if your Sun is at 25 degrees Capricorn and your Venus is 16 degrees Aquarius then you were born under Venus as the Evening Star. If your Sun is at 25 degrees Capricorn and your Venus is 5 degrees Capricorn, then you’re a Morning Star Venus & thus more Warrior-goddessy in your love & sex nature.

Morning star.

But in Taurus, so the evening star description hits closest to home.

My favorite part about the two Venuses is related to Ishtar/Inanna/Astarteea.

Robert Hand:

There are two distinctly different Venuses.
All astrological traditions except the modern Western one, and to some extent the Hindu one, recognize this.
There is a warrior Venus and a
love goddess Venus.
They’re both female.
But one of them is more like Athena.
The warrior goddess Venus is Venus as a Morning Star.
Phosphorus Lucifer, although it should be “Lucifera.” There’s nothing satanic about it.
It’s just a warrior goddess.
And the evening one is the soft, squishy love goddess.
They actually have different names.
In Mesopotamia it was Ishtar Akkad and Ishtar Uruk.
One was a Morning Star, the other the Evening Star Venus.
The MesoAmericans recognized this
phenomenon, the Chinese recognized this phenomenon, so did the Mesopotamians, and there are references to it in Greek astrology as well.
If you have a morning Star Venus and it is powerfully placed in your chart and you are a woman, you probably are not as soft and squishy as the modern textbooks would have you believe.
It’s a placement that makes a woman very beautiful, but not in a soft, squishy way.
Sort of Valkyrian — grand, statuesque, strong. So the ancient Venus embodies
two distinctly different types of feminine.
And yet, they are both feminine, which is something we should pay a great deal of attention to in modern astrology

MORNING STAR
Venus Phosphorus Lucifer
Aphrodite Pandemos
Warrior goddess
Yang
Closest to Earth: perigee
Follows retrograde cycle
In the “underworld”
Rules the daytime
Moves slower
Follows inferior conjunction with Sun
Ruler of Taurus
Daughter of Zeus and Dione
Primal, raw sensuality
Earth goddess
Ascends rapidly, descends slowly
Visible ~ 6- 8 days following conjunction

EVENING STAR
Venus Hesperus
Aphrodite Urania
Love goddess
Yin
Farthest from Earth: apogee
Follows direct cycle
In the “upperworld”
Rules the nighttime
Moves faster
Follows superior conjunction with Sun
Ruler of Libra
Daughter of Gaia and Ouranos
Refined, social acceptability
Sky goddess
Ascends slowly, descends
rapidly
Visible~ 60 days following conjunction

Does parallel mean that the two planets declinations are in the same degree??

I was born in the evening, in the hour of Venus, so would that make me an Evening Star? Aries Sun 24 degrees, Venus in Gemini at 1 degree.

My entire family has/had a morning star;
Mom, dad, sis 1, sis 2 and ME!

But I seem to attract evening stars in relationships .. just one platonic and one non-platonic exception.
