My ex-friend is left handed. Aquarius Sun, Capricorn Moon, Aquarius Mercury retro. Mercury conjunct Ceres exact, square Pluto retro. TOB unknown.

I've always heard children are lefties if there is trouble during delivery.
There was trouble with mine and my son's (at one point I didn't think he was going to make it out alive)

I don't see anything standing out in his chart at first glance

I am sort of ambidextrous. I write with my right hand but do some stuff with my lefthand too. I was originally left handed but the teachers in kindergarten forced me to be right handed.

my son is a leftie.

aqua sun, cap moon, aqua merc….just like your ex-friend @ cappy!
he has a fair number of the aspects noted on the link/study.
one i noticed that they said was that it was notably common for lefties to have the ruler of the dsc in retrograde. as his sun is the rule of his dsc it's impossible for it to be retrograde..hahaha.

I know 2 left-handed people, mother and son (my 1 out of 2 aunts, and my 1 out of 3 cousins; superclose) both Geminis with Cancer Mercury, aaand both super aggressive, haha (PS. my cousin was barred from EVERY pub in South London; ever little thing can trig his anger)

I can write equally well with both of my hands. I think that my dominant half of the brain is right, because my thinking is not linear, i am not logical and more into arts, spiritual things than logic and mathematics.

Apparently left-handedness can be caused by a minor brain deficiency. The amount of left-handed people increased drastically after it became the norm to do early ultrasounds :-)

yah, I have sag merc retro and am naturally lef-handed. When I started school they trained me to write with my right hand though. Now I write with both but I still use my left hand more.

Being fully ambidextrous would be fun.

For now I can't really write with my left hand or use it when dealing with things that require super precision.
I have certain things I prefer doing with my right hand (like writing, or using a knife) and other things I prefer doing with my left hand (like peeling, washing, dressing or handing out stuff).
When I eat I can use both my right and left hands to hold a spoon or a fork, depending on what's most practical or whatever I feel like using.

I've always thought Gemini/Mercury influence indicated left-handedness or ambidexterity, but apparently not necessarily.

It seems that there are quite a few Aquarians who are left-handed, from my personal experience and from what people say on here.

Being left handed is genetic. There was a whole piece on my fav show Radiolab ( When you're right, go left ) about lefties and how they survived through the ages. It was awesome. Thanks for posting the question!!

Lefties I know are highly creative. If it's caused by a brain deficiency, I wouldn't mind having it.

By brain deficiency it would be like a tiny injury to the brain. It's not really a big deal, since other parts take over. Ie, the other side of the brain, which causes other characteristics :-)
The brain is very adaptable.
