You basically add 1° - so you need to read up the 29° Leo.

some of the meanings make more sense to me when they are not rounded out to 1 degree, i wonder if some don't do that and it works for them?

This particular Sabian chart corresponds to the actual number of the degree in the chart as shown on your horoscope as drawn in astro.com: http://www.cafeastrology.com/sabiansymbols_degreemeanings.html
If, for instance, you have a planet listed in any sign at 0 degrees plus whatever odd minutes, you would read the symbol for 0-1 degrees using the cafe astrology chart.
This is known as the first degree, because there is no other before zero, so other systems like Lynda Hill would list the same symbol as the first degree but correspond it to number 1, instead of 0-1.

So, he easiest way to look up the symbol is to check cafe astrology for the exact degree listed in your horoscope chart, then search other listings for an interpretation based on the symbol itself rather than on the number of symbol.
