10th house? 4th house is supposed to be past-oriented, so 10th house could be future-oriented ? Both suck though, because life exists only in the present.

Mercury/Pluto

Pluto can be very deliberate also. Self-control and postponing reward are also involved (Saturn, Pluto)

I'm like this. For as long as I can remember I've always thought about and daydreamed about my future. I try not to think about my past (focus too much on the negatives) much if any at all. My guess is Uranus/Aquarius maybe Jupiter/Sagittarius influence too.

Sun trine Uranus is the tightest aspect in my chart.

As far as my Mercury it is:
square Neptune
square Uranus
quincunx Saturn
square Ascendant

And Aquarius is on my 8th and 9th house cusp.

I feel like Saturn influence would be more so "in the now" rather than focused on the past and future (not to say it doesn't think of the past/future though). I have Sun opposite Saturn.

Venus, Mars, and may be even sun in earth signs for the first one. I have Venus in cap in 10th. But I only do this for romance and money. I know all my future transits that are going to give me money and love experiences (upto 2020). I think mars in Capricorn does the same.

For the second, I have sun conjunct Uranus. I also have sun conjunct Saturn. The past is a sad place; future is so much more fun though! Sold on that trip. Where's this time machine, anyway? I wanna goooo to 2020
