Well, you know, there are different reasons for being promiscuous. Doing it as a profession in one thing, doing it casually another, it is more related to what lala said, to self-esteem, not necessarily connected to a high sex drive in neither cases.IP: Logged |

In the playboy chart I see a lot of Uranus too, plus lustful placements: ASC Scorpio, Pluto aspects, Mars in Taurus ruler of 5th on DSC and especially Venus in Capricorn, said to be very lustful and/or very practical. Saturn in 8th can be a sign of sexual self-esteem issues. I think Venus in Cap quincunx Saturn in 8th can separate sex from love. IP: Logged |

I charged Mars on the descendant for his battlefield-relationships (some of his ex-girlfriends hit him. He deserved it) and Saturn in the 8th...I would have supposed this could be the reason for impotence but he wasn't... IP: Logged |

I don't think my Dad and the playboy ever got paid for Sex but Tracy Lord did have sex for money in exhchange Casual Sex? I am no native speaker. I understand the meaning due to the context but I would have thought that "casual sex" means "comfortable sex" IP: Logged |

It was curiosity, not passion. I've always found it ironic that people so obsessed with sex would be so critical of the sex lives of others. I've always had a low sex drive (though it can be revved up momentarily) but have been a lot less judgmental than those always obsessing when they were going to get laid next (almost everything they read, watch, and talks about points to that desire). Though I suppose it makes sense if their sex drive is such a powerful force in them that they'd fear it...though experience has also taught me that some condemn what they're actually into so that others aren't aware (for example, cheaters who go on and on about the importance of monogamy, all those closeted gays bashing on gays verbally & politically, etc). Thanks for sharing that, I find it interesting because I think one of the reason for sexual experimentation is self-discovery, which is ultimately a good thing.I suppose those who are very sexual by nature are also very "involved" so to speak, so as a negative trait they can become judgmental or, positively, just looking for an ideal they hope to find in the others as well. Apart from the cases you describe, in which it is more about hiding one's own strong impulses under a mask of criticism and high morality, I think. IP: Logged |

My BFF from when I was 10-15 was extremely promiscuous, always had been (even at 10 she was obsessed with it and fooled around). She was born 3 days after me so we shared many of the same placements. She had a Cappie moon and her sun was Scorpio on the Libra cusp rather Libra on the Scorpio cusp like mine, but that's about it (I don't know what time she was born but I'm certain she also had a different ASC). Unlike me she wasn't athletic but boldly promiscuous so I'm guessing that's where she focused her physical energy. Perhaps it was her Scorpio energy (though personally I think it's more normal for Scorpio to be more focused on one person which she wasn't) or maybe it was her Scorpio energy made her feel things more keenly so that the pain of our lives affected her more deeply than it did me. It could also be that unlike me she lacked confidence which prevented her being more athletic, IDK. I loved her, and I would, and will, defend her from any who would put her down for her sexual boldness. I was very much a tomboy (which worked for her as most girls despised her promiscuity and she liked having sex with the boys I was friends with), and many small-minded girls assumed since I usually didn't have a boyfriend that I was having sex with all of them as those poor girls couldn't imagine anything other than sex involved between male & female (if there was a reason most of my friends were boys it was because BOYS HAD LIVES while girls just looked for a boy to orbit rather than have a life of her own and assumed all other girls were just as obsessed and therefore I was "playing dirty" to get at the boys and they couldn't stand the perceived competition). Look who I hung out with, after all. Yet she and I had other things in common, from dysfunctional alcoholic parents, living just a few houses apart, and disdainful of the hypocrites who put us both down. We were different in many other ways, however. This scene from Hannah Montana actually reminded me of us (save it wouldn't be so G-rated):

My mom had a lot of sex partners, too. But it wasn't so much sex with her but rather manipulation--and revenge. Revenge against both males and females which she held equally in contempt. She took great delight in stealing away a guy from another girl to prove herself better than her and then dumping the guy once her real goal had been accomplished. In her case I believe it was the strong Leo and Scorpio energy, she had to be better than others and she had to have her revenge for which she had a talent for. That said, she'd grown up with a lot of negativity that disillusioned her and I believe that's what made her astrological energy go bad. Had she been brought up under different circumstances I believe she would've been extremely picky about her partners (and having very few of them, possibly even just one). IP: Logged |

I have a cap SN in the 8th house and a cap moon in the 7th conjunct the cusp of my 8th house. Recently, I jokingly told my husband I was gonna become a madam and run a brothel, and he told me I would probably be good at that. I don't know what I do to give him that impression.IP: Logged |
