I have Gemini ascendant with mercury in sagitarius. It says in mundane astrology that my mercury is in fall...too blunt..."sees the big pictures but glosses over the details." It recommends marketing, or writing stories, or even evangelizing. I do love to learn a bunch of random things about jovial matters...and I do tend to go on to the next thing before mastering the details... I have uranus conjunct mercury in sag...and I have jupiter in capricorn and saturn in scorpio. Believe it or not in front of a crowd...I could probably become pretty good as a comedian, as once I did speak in front of a group of some hundred people and even though I tried my huffest to be serious, every person was cackling their crack makers open. "Did you ever laugh that hard..." The master of ceremonies asked the on-lookers...in the trans-formative learning class after I had read a narration of my internal dialogue...or my character, or my "racket," as they so elegantly called that part of us which could be likened to a voice that restricts us. Freud called it the superego... And Jung perhaps would call it an archetype: the old man. I have researched a dozen gemini ascendants on astrotheme too. I've probably seen every single one in the database with one planet in one of my houses. What I found? Race car drivers, singers, and actors, and writers, and comedians, and tennis players, and a few models... What else would you expect from a database of celebrities? So I guess the point of this post is to see how I can whittle my way to the core my mercury so that I may shed some light either for my self, or in the process, to others about such a placement...which is conjunct the descendant and sextiles so neatly venus conjunct my mc. At the end of the day though..my final dispositor is pluto...and this makes great, great sense...for I do sacrfice much to accomplish a goal. Once I set the goal I cannot be pulled away. I can't wait until I pass my exam some time this year or next year - a series of exams...then I can be free to try my hand at other things...but that plutonian wave beckons me and if I don't answer I may end up on a plutonian shore instead of floating my way of this desolate blessing because surely I walk the fires as we all do, through the wheel of life, but do my best to raise up like a phoenix and touch the figs on a sun-lit bent day across the shadows of a few leaves, loving life! So thank you for reading and namaste brothers and sisters! IP: Logged |

UGH...I told myself I would take a posting break, but here I am. Your posts are so interesting though....This is not going to help you. At all. But, what I do I have do to trade my Cap ASC and Mercury for your Gemini ASC and Sag Mercury? Seriously! Have you thought about doing standup as a side hobby? You probably would be good at it.

Mercury conj Uranus in Sagittarius sounds like politician, scientist, lawyer, maybe comedian as well - but that wasn't my first thought. IP: Logged |

BellaFenice - Thank you kindly dear! Odette - funny thing I've considered all of those...and that's why I chose to get a business degree but who knows. Anonnymidarkness - HAHAHA! Yea..that's what would happen truly! I am best when trying to be entirely serious but laughed at as if I were making a joke...As a politician my ideas would be far too innovative, effective to ever be taken seriously.

^ You reckon? Why? Uranus attracts friends.. Merc conjunct Uranus would be similar to Aqua Mercury. IP: Logged |

Because they tend to say outrageous things and it’s in Sag. Uranus may love Sag, as it’s a progressive sign but Mercury in Sag can go way too far with the truth, let’s be real, truth doesn’t help a politician. Mercury/Uranus are charismatic orators though, that helps. Attracting friends ? I’m not sure about it, depends I’d say. I would look at the 11th house and it’s ruler. IP: Logged |

hmm... I see Sagittarius as an extra political sign though, despite their honesty. And Mercury conjunct Uranus in a transpersonal sign has an expanding impact on Mercury. It would make the individual focus on worldwide problems, national problems, social problems, human rights issues.. etcIP: Logged |

I know someone with a Gemini ASC and Mercury in Sag and they're into politics. But more the underground type of thing, controversies and all that.Actual politics imply dishonesty and I don't see how that can fit with both the Sag and the Uranus principles - truth & honesty. IP: Logged |

It's true. I do worry a lot about things that don't affect me.
