I'm wondering, generally speaking, what are some positive things that outer planets (or slower moving) bring to the table. Obviously soft aspects being what I have in mind and conjunctions. But hard too if you feel it's relevant.

For example, we know Saturn very often gets a bad reputation.

In my mind I'm really curious about Neptune and Uranus.
Natally, synastry, whatever.

I hear bad things about Neptune and Uranus too, transits and such. Not that we never hear good things but it seems less often.

What are the positive sides?

They do have some. I always took it as that the soft aspects are easier to make work.

Just brainstorming...

Neptune: Sensitivity and sympathy for other people's pain and problems. Artistic and/or being musically-inclined. Spirituality. Yoga. Good intuition. Willing to help others out, especially the smaller/weaker ones. Adaptable (the positive side of fantasy). Imagination.

Pluto: Healing from trauma (though you'll have to go through the nasty dredge first), powerful presence that commands respect, observant/good investigation skills, insight into what makes people tick (the psychology link to Pluto/Scorpio/8th house). Ability to come out stronger after going down (the rebirth aspect).

Uranus: This one's harder haha. Independent, free spirit, has flashes of insight, intelligence probably (higher octave of Mercury). Humanism. Progressive thinker.

People tend to overlook the power of Neptune and Uranus. Uranus in the 1st here. It gives me great insight.

The conjunctions are not soft aspects and can be the most difficult in the chart.

I have Jupiter conjunct the ascendant. Not sure what that means in my life, lol. I can place all the other planets but Jupiter I have a hard time seeing.

My son has Uranus in 1st also...conjunct his Moon.

He is only 1, but I've already studied his aspects LOL. I have read Uranus in first makes for a very intuitive person! Conjunct moon even more so.

But I believe David Bowie had Uranus in 1st too...Creative genius! John Lennon also had Uranus in 1H

I personally dislike Uranus as I have it squaring my natal Venus but I have read that on the upside it spurs creativity, sparks your intuition and whatever it upheavs, wasn't meant to last anyway...

Meh, I still dislike it lol

I have a number of Trines and Sextiles involving Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, and it has been all positive for me. Supposedly, I would make a great counselor or therapist, although I have no desire to do so. IRL, I'm a good listener, though. Most of those Aspects denote a person well balanced psychologically, so I can see how a career in psychiatry would be a fit for me. But I chose a different path. I see through masks easily. And people I barely know want to tell me all their problems.

Here too, neptune and uranus on the asc, both conjuct moon. My obstacle is this mercury opp pluto who jumps to conclusions without all the data abd uaually thinks all ppl wants to betray . Ugly but true.

Still, I am intuitive about people..I just know abb them

I have really strong Uranus in my chart as well as Pluto (Conjunct IC). Uranus makes for great independence, originality, innovation, can give one psychic visions while conscious, can inspire intelligence and creativity if it's placed well, and can bring sudden, POSITIVE change with soft aspects even though with the hard ones it brings sudden, difficult change.

Neptune is the planet of illusions, empathy, spirituality, and dreams. Soft aspects to Neptune can make one very powerful psychically, give one the ability to see past illusions, make one incredibly sympasthetic and empathetic (possibly empathic), make one very spiritual, even a religious leader, allow people to understand others emotions well, and give people precognitive dreams.

Soft Pluto aspects can give one the ability to gain control over much of the things in their life. Pluto is power and it adds power to whatever it touches. It also allows people to get to the root of matters, whether they be things like history or psychological matters. Strong Pluto people can therefore make great detectives because they are always searching to look past the superficial. This can also make people very sexy and very good at working in the darkness. Good aspects to Pluto make people good at understanding darker emotions and the darker aspects of life.

It makes for pretty interesting people in my opinion, original, creative, and deep, definitely not superficial.
