I don't have any in my natal. Someone said this would make it so I do not project much. I have always been very clear thinking about things.
I have not trusted myself but all sorts of people come to me for advice and tell me I have great thinking.
Does lack of oppositions help you to see very clearly what is happening? Thanks so much ------------------

Interesting thought. I'd look more for Mercury though. Is your Mercury in Taurus or Scorpio? Because this placement often gives a good listener with sound advice.IP: Logged |

I have an opposition in my chart.My planets are the Moon and Saturn. Moon is super personal. And it's already afflicted by other things in my chart (Mars, Pluto, ASC, Nodes). Whenever I express my Moon (emotions, needs, personal information about my family, my past, my "self"), I expect a Saturnian response, and very often I get it. A Saturnian response is a lack of understanding and compassion, silence or even disapproval. It's hard to tell which came first, the expectation and then the negative reaction from the Other, or the negative reaction from the Other and hence, my expectations of a bad reaction. If my Moon is not involved (my inner self, my emotions, myself personally), the projection doesn't happen. I can be clear and lucid in my thinking (Mercury unafflicted). If I get involved personally, it's a completely different story. IP: Logged |

Thank you so much, Doux! Reading this helps me understand my afflicted moon. It also has an opposition.
Just reading what you wrote about people responding to you in a Saturnine way when you discuss moon topics really helps me understand they respond in a Neptunian way to me. Hadn't thought of it like that. Thanks for explaining things so clearly!Maybe moon oppositions make it more difficult to talk about personal issues because of responses? I know I don't like talking about anything personal and I rarely do.

I have 3H Mercury in Scorpio opposite 9H retro Mars in Taurus. It is part of Grand Water Trine w/Earth Kite; so this opposition is important in my chart. I can see how NOT having any oppositions would lead to clear thinking. You are not having to cope with the push/pull. However, I have chosen to view oppositions as axes in the chart. After all, I AM very Libran (Sun,Uranus,Pluto). Gotta balance. OT: I am REALLY grateful my Mars is retro and sextile Saturn; I think before I speak. Ami, correct me if I'm wrong, isn't your Moon 10H Cancer? I view you as motherly. We mom's soothe and give others our all, yet are filled with second guessing & self doubt about our decisions.------------------

Mhm, I think so. I think the important thing here is to find a middle ground for both planets. If you express either one or the other, you will feel discomfort or dissatisfaction of some sort. Maybe the thing to do is to express one planet with the positive qualities of the other. For example, talk about your emotions/feelings in a creative or calm, compassionate way (Moon/Neptune). Instead of talking about them in an overly sensitive, or "delusional" way (too dramatic or abstract, for example).Just some thoughts. IP: Logged |

I still tend to get bad results no matter what approach I take. Maybe it's just karma?With moon opposite Saturn, when people talk about Saturnine things, does it bring out a moon response? Or, when they are cold and distant, do you try to do something moon -related, like comfort them, or respond emotionally?
For instance, when someone seems all sweet and innocent and they are in trouble I want to protect them which would be my moon responding to their Neptune. While when I am acting out my moon which would be me crying they feel guilty (Neptune.)
I can somewhat see how this opposition is in my life. I think of it whenever strange things happen on a daily basis because the moon moves through the signs so quickly but I don't think as much about individual interactions and how Neptune shows up there. IP: Logged |

You know what, I think there could be some truth to that. Karma, fate, whatever. Some things just happen, no matter what we do. It's not a pleasant thought in the least. What if free will, is only but an illusion? I've been pondering this for a while. No definite answer, just question marks.Yes, it tends to work that way. When someone's being Lunar (emotional or overly needy), I tend to act like Saturn, sometimes quite cold and not sympathetic. When someone's being cold and unsympathetic, I tend to act in a Lunar fashion -- emotional or nurturing. Which is quite dumb, really. Being aware of the dynamics helps, but it's an effort not to act on natural impulse.
I have to monitor my reaction and behavior to avoid being either too Lunar or Saturnian in my dealings with others.
