I've got a Taurus cousin who acts the same way lol.. Her birthday was just yesterday. I can't stand it either. Honestly, if I were you, I would just bring it up to them. Sometimes, I've noticed, people can be blind to how they're acting or coming across. If you've already addressed it and nothing changed, then I'd just give up trying to communicate with them anyway. Not like you're doing much communicating regardless.. You're mainly just listening to him/her speak. IP: Logged |

Well, I think sun square pluto could be aiding in that. I've noticed similar things amongst Taurus people I know.. I'm a double Taurus but those are my only Taurus placements. I'm actually very cognitive, almost self-conscious about how I come across to people. I hate being cut off in conversations so I try my best to not interrupt people. With Mercury in Aries, sometimes it's a little difficult because my brain is all over the place and I feel like I have so much to contribute to the conversation, but I slow myself down and try to be considerate of the other person. I try to listen, not just wait my turn. But, I wouldn't blame it all on the aspect, the same way I wouldn't blame it all on the sign. I think it is a common trait amongst Tauruses/Taureans(?) to be almost dismissive in conversations, which does annoy me to no end, but I'll address it with them or find it unnecessary to even bring it up. I would say.. With your family members, address it because you can't exactly just avoid communication with them.. And with your friend, address it once, but if nothing changes.. Then just let it go. I think it all depends on how you say it to her! If you were to say "okay enough about you", that may rub her - or anyone else - the wrong way. You can maybe easily bring it up by saying, "Hey, do you mind if I share my experience with you as well? I think it might contribute". Sucks that you'd even have to say that to someone, though.. I think Taurus has a strong tendency to be very stubborn & egocentric, but I wouldn't say tyrannical. You do either have to learn to stand up to them when they're about to step on you (generally in a thoughtless way) or get out of their way, however. I find it easy enough to shrug and go my own way if it gets too bad, though it helps that I'm not overly dependent on one (say a father or boss) as I could see that making that seem more like tyrannical rather than merely stubborn. And one of my favorite quips LG had of a conversation between a Taurus man & Sag woman in Love Signs: SAG: Why don't you want me to march in the ecology protest parade? We only have ten years left on this planet if somebody doesn't do something right away. Do you want to suffocate in ten years because there's no more oxygen left in the air, because the plankton that makes the oxygen, which grows in the ocean, is gone--because of pollution of the water, caused by greedy industrialists like you? The BULL: I am not a greedy industrialist. I own a small Orange Julius stand. And I don't care which Chinese Communist-inspired "cause" you march for on your own time, but I just got home from work, and I haven't been fed. I'm hungry. Stifle yourself, and feed me. (And from there it just gets so much worse for The BULL ) IP: Logged |

"Stifle yourself, and feed me". Well that's terrible. I would only HOPE it got worse for him after saying that. So disrespectful. IP: Logged |

^^My copy is copyrighted 1951 (republished 1979) so times were different then. And I do think LG was trying to be a bit humorous there. IP: Logged |

Not really dominating but they do want to be the most liked and they tend to side with other Tauruses. IP: Logged |

the problem with this person is that you have no room to say anything because she is talking the whole time without one opportunity for me to say anything. I once got annoyed and she felt it and she said i'm sorry but she never changed. i've said "well i'd like to add something" and she talked over that as if i said nothing at all. WTF? I also feel really annoyed that she will complain about things that seem minor to me for about an hour when I have bigger issues and need someone to hear me out, she is quite aware that i have issues that need to be talked about too IP: Logged |

Wow i have never met a Taurus like that. I have a friend who does that but she is a cappy/aqua cusp. All she does is talk about herself for hours. Interrupts and at no point asks me sbout myself. Even my mom lost her voice the other day trying to talk over her and get one word in at least. My mom was like wow u were right, that girl can talk. And i wasnt able to get a word in. IP: Logged |

ahahaha!I have Taurus rising, Aries Moon, Cancer Mars ( also Venus 90 Pluto,)!! Go figure out! I am so emotional and soft inside but I have a hard time showing it,..I rather act like a stubborn demon and confuse people cos they can actually sense my emotionality and deepness but they can not see it though my actions..like a wild cat ready to scratch even the innocent one who just passes by. Sun, Venus, Mars, Mercury in Taurus...Maybe you're talking about me!! LOL J/K... oh, Moon in Pisces too... I don't tend to dominate conversation per se, but I do try to make sure the other party understands my viewpoint or opinions as I would try to understand where the other person is coming from even if I don't necessarily agree.
