I've seen this and I would say it can indicate someone who constantly does themselves in by how they act, what they say. They are truly their own downfall. Own worst enemy. I have seen twelfth housers who are not so just having some stuff going on in the twelfth is not enough but having the rising sign covering the cusp of twelve too can indicate self undoing and being one's own enemy.
It can be an indicator of misfortune in life and bad karma. Person is going to have to come to terms with forces within themselves that lead to trouble.

I'm fortunate in life but yes, I'm my own worst enemy. Mars conj. ASC in Gemini and Gemini kinda in the 12th house.

This also means duplicated 12th house, someone attracted to the occult and possibly with occult abilities. The duplicated house is something we master very well, which is like second nature to us.

Certainly, but 8th, 12th, sometimes 9th and 11th can have occult, philosophical, spiritual connotations also . For example Bob Marks says this duplicated house could explain for David Copp. being an illusionist, among other things.

Anyway, I find it interesting to master one's 12th house. Something to meditate upon. It's usually a part of ourselves we're not very aware of, at least initially, in the first part of our lives.

Don't forget signs. Whatever the ascending sign represents can bring sorrow and pain. For instance, Libra ascending on cusp of twelve could bring pain and sorrow through partnerships and marriage maybe due to something about the person they cannot control, like temper or indulgences of some kind. There could be separations and coldness. Maybe they are deceptive toward their partners and hide things from them, or steal from the partnership.

I have this. I can see how I might be my own worst enemy...but I usually attribute that to my Sun square Saturn/Neptune.

If anything, I feel the influence of the duplication of the sign on my 6th/7th House cusps much, much more. For me, daily life (work, pets, the gym, etc) is very much tied up in my romantic life (and vice versa, obviously).
