I love these books and own a few.Day - Substantiation Week - Determination Month - Supporter Way - Influence Path - Influential Determination Mine are accurate. Also, you can roughly gauge where your other placements are in this system. Thus, my moon is in the Week of the Loner (so true), my Venus in the Week of Independence, and so on.

Not saying it applies to all, but there's a sizeable amount of people who act like astrology (tropical astrology anyway) is supposed to give results that work in one way only, or who just scam others by making extremely general and vague interpretations. Astrology works if used the correct way. This "secret personality" (personology, as it calls itself) thing is definitely not part of my book.
Hmm, perhaps, but it doesn't mention anything about Astrology, so people won't think that their "Horoscope" (as they put it) doesn't relate to them, and it is supposed to be defining your Sun sign only, not your whole chart (I mean you can check your whole chart with it, depending what degree the planet is, and then transferring it with the Sun degree to get the interpretation if you would want, like Faith did, but it's supposed to be talking about the Sun sign and using that as a general basis because the Sun sign is the most important in the chart). I agree with you on what you said though, in that it acts like it describes your whole personality based on your Sun sign (I worded what you said a bit differently to clarify what you meant) and Numerology Destiny number (birth date number), without actually taking the the other things in the chart into account. But since it doesn't even mention that it's using Astrology, they wouldn't take the whole chart in account either way, lol. IP: Logged |

Gary Goldschneider is the main author, the books are based on his 40 years of data analysis with over 25,000 charts. He used to have another website where you could see how he charted out all the characteristics and their frequency of occurrence in the thousands of biographies he studied. So, for example, I was born in the Week of Determination (January 3-9). One trait that Goldschneider discovered amongst people born in this time frame, not unique to Capricorns but more salient and occurring with greater frequency in this group, was a strong interest in supernatural phenomena, including radical theories that other Capricorns might dismiss out of hand as non-credible. This interest is tied in with our strongly pronounced ambitious streak and our willingness to "try anything" to get to the top. I remember reading a biography about Richard Nixon (born January 9th) and how he used to send memos to his staff urging them to be more spiritually-inclined. The anecdote was presented for humor's sake. Yet I expected Nixon to be the kind of guy who would send that kind of memo, based on my previous study of these books, and just assumed he was sincere. Across the board, I've witnessed the accuracy of these readings...by accurate I don't mean, everything fits 100% so the riddle of people has been "solved" forever...I just mean, these studies have given me a strong foundation to work with. quote: Originally posted by Mercurian Intellect: (I mean you can check your whole chart with it, depending what degree the planet is, and then transferring it with the Sun degree to get the interpretation if you would want, like Faith did, but it's supposed to be talking about the Sun sign and using that as a general basis because the Sun sign is the most important in the chart).
Yes, and my idea was not original, but for brevity's sake I didn't go into that. There is a book that supplies all these readings, it's called Personology: This is one that I own. It intrigues me because the way the author applies the system to each planet being in a certain "personology period" (ie Cusp of Exposure, Week of Spirit, etc.) shows a very high level of intuition and/or extreme meticulousness in data collection, involving thousands and thousands of cases. His conclusions aren't just like, "People with their Mercury in the Week of Determination will be determined thinkers"...it's much more nuanced and complex than that. And it's surprising, both because his extrapolation isn't what one might expect AND, in many instances, from what I've seen, it is weirdly accurate nonetheless. How's that for a long post? New moon special!

You're so welcome, I liked hearing myself talk. LOLYou can get it at amazon...let's see...it's about $32 new and there's a used copy for $5. I got mine at a library book sale for $1, as per the Law of Attraction , since I had wanted the book for years but didn't like the cost. There's not a ton of information; most of the pages are charts to help you find your placements. But it's worth a few bucks, definitely, to play around with. Also looks smart on a coffee table IP: Logged |

Day: Mortal Mirror Week: Leadership Month: Commander Way: Considerate leadership Path: Consideration And season: DevelopmentAhh. I talked about this with Faith and Muddy in our H&H thread a long time ago. Good times. Nice to get to read it again. I especially love sharing my date of birth with Marcia Gay Harden - from SVU. Much prefer that over the people I share my Sun/Moon combo with. . IP: Logged |
