I find that I take on the personality of whatever sign Saturn is currently transiting through.
When Saturn was transiting through Virgo I found that not only were people having issues with my work, but I was berating them for their sloppy contributions.
When Saturn transited through Libra I had problems with all sorts of relationships, which hurt as I was determined to be fair-minded and was eager to please.
Saturn in Scorpio has really hit me though I must say. Since the beginning of the year I feel like I have been walking around speaking softly, but wielding a big stick and slaughtering dissenters or anyone who isn't on Team Aries right left and centre, which seems to add up to a lot of people. My father is an Aries too and had to get rid of a company director earlier on this year.
Having said that I realize where I have been giving my power away and where others have been allowed to get away with my being "too nice" for far too long. I have also been looking at my own attitude, and with Saturn in my 3rd house I have, on the whole, been better at presenting myself professionally speaking since the beginning of this year. I had gotten into sloppy habits for a while - like, not getting back to people, being late, being off sick from work a lot. This was partly due to uncongenial work. I am more motivated now I am finding more congenial work but still have some way to go.
I am also examining the people I hang out with with a fine-tooth comb and for many their life direction has changed. To some degree this could be said to represent the "death" of a number of friendships that have been shown to not work in one way or another (for reasons of backstabbing, jealousy for example). One relationship in particular drove me to alcoholism. During the period of time I was in communication with this person even on a semi-regular basis, I found myself self-medicating. That had to go. The moment I stopped communicating with this person I lost the desire for alcohol almost straight away. Not that I did not have some great spiritual revelations during that time
I am trying to develop more of an eye for assessing people and situations and eliminating them early on if they don't fit. I used to be quite open and tolerant, but not any more. Quality of people is important to me and so, moreover, is being the kind of person I would like to associate with. So I see it as a positive thing that the old relationships are breathing their last, as this clears the way for new ones.
Does anyone else "take on" the personality of whatever sign Saturn is in? Or the qualities of the house it is in during a transit?

Saturn is squaring my Saturn in 4th, I'm getting rid of people who no longer emotionally fulfill me, or things that do not provide joy, they have to go. People who bring me down, they also have to go.

Mine is also forming a square to my Natal Saturn in the 4th, and is transiting through the sign of Scorpio.

I'm extremely emotionally codependent with family (Moon in the 4th) but despite our tendency to cling to each other, my home life has always been full of darkness and upheaval (Pluto in the 4th).

Definitely feeling this transit in the form of depression and morbid thoughts.

I've started to compulsively read literature about WWII and really dove head first into Theology. I started to feel a huge need to prepare for death and I'm only 21 x_x

It both terrifies, and challenges me, like "How can something natural and imminent be bad?? Why am I afraid? What's wrong with me, and how can I strengthen my spirit etc"

Which is probably an influence of Scorpio; death, mysteries, the search for truth, digging in one's subconsciousness and attempting to deal with darkness...

Works quite similarly to progressed moon - the sign of moon becomes a theme for the next 2 years or so.

Hmmm. NeptunianSag, have you found your career has taken off with Saturn in the 4th House??? Just curious.

I find Cancerians/ 4th House/ 4th House Sun people/ domesticity a little challenging right now. The issues of the 3rd are more kinda take or leave them because the energy with friends etc. had run its course - it doesn't seem as important - but Pluto is in my 4th for still some time to come. I feel EVEN LESS domesticated than I was at the start of that transit even though Jupe in Cancer is supposed to be making me feel into nesting and baking cakes - hasn't made a dent!!!
