I've always wondered, with Mars/Venus aspects in synastry, whose sexually attracted to who?Is it the Mars person going after the Venus person, or is it the other way around? I find it quite strange because with my personal experience, I'm always Venus and I'm attracted to the Mars person.... And it's also been times where it was the other way around. So can anyone elaborate on this? Does it have to do with what type of aspect it is in general? ------------------

I would say both are equally attracted with the difference that Mars person is usually more assertive while the venus enjoys to be courted.
Mars is masculine, Venus feminine energy and thats exactly how it plays out regardless of the actual gender of those involved..

Conjunction is more assertive Mars while in trine more ..humm, how can i say?...milder ?? Trine is def. more balanced.

I think that it may also depend on how strong someone Venus/Mars is in their natal chart and where it's placed. Like me for example, I notice I'm more often than not attracted to guys when my Mars is aspected to their Venus. When it's the other way around there is usually no attraction at all (unless it's a dw). I have Mars in 5th so in regards to dating people who aspect my Mars are people that I'm attracted to. Yes I'm a male lol and I dunno, it's like I'm after the Mars person, when you would think that the Mars person is supposed to be more aggressive about the attraction. It's funny because when I find out that someone likes me, first thing I do is run their chart and see where their Mars is placed and how it aspects my planets. And typically their Mars would touch either my Sun or Venus. IP: Logged |

I think I agree, but I believe attraction has more to it though in astrology, you have to consider house overlays etc., just because someone's Mars is touching your Venus, it may not always mean that they are attracted to you, you have to consider the other aspects in synastry as well. I've met several people who my Mars had been touching their Venus & I felt no type of sexual intimacy towards them. And then again, I've met people who I had no Mars/Venus contacts with at ALL, and they were just HOT to me lol

I think it depends also much on aspect/s involved.
And Chiemi is right about the placement and strength of the Planets in the Natal..I am Venus 90 Pluto aka passionate like hell ahaha and when someone touches my Venus its okay, nice but it burn`s , fades away faster then when my Mars is activated ( I noticed) ...DW is the best of course. Well you asked about those two...and sure, they are not enough...rather helpful if other aspects are there .
VENUS/PLUTO
MARS/PLUTO
7th, 8th house overlay ..,ASC/DSC BAM! etc.

Even if you are Mars, you are not going to be the one chasing if its a feminine Mars or a non assertive Mars. Not saying its impossible...but unlikely. IP: Logged |

I was mars and i found venus to be more agressive. But my mars was in his 8th house...so it was basically hump at first sight.IP: Logged |
