Every male and female has a masculine and feminine side to them, some more inclined to have more traits of the yin than yang and vice verse.

My Sun [primary male] is in Cancer and it squares the exaltation Aries.
My Moon [primary female] is in Taurus and thus exalted, and my Venus [secondary female] is in 28 Gemini but in the 5th house so it's strengthened more than the average Venus Gemini.
My Mars [secondary male] is in Cancer and in fall, the opposite of exaltation (worse than it in Libra)!
My Sun is conjunct my Descendant too ( in the house of Libra, opposite exalt Aries)

I also have Neptune conjunct my Ascendant and Moon conjunct my IC, a largely "feminizing" aspect.

So if my Sun and Mars are weakened by "feminizing" aspects/placements, doesn't that make my assertiveness as well as my masculinity very weakened? What is the effect on that?

I'm a female btw.

Yeah that would weaken your assertiveness and masculinity in general, considering your male planets are in feminine signs.

Like for me, I feel the masculine more because I have my Sun in Leo and Mars in Libra, which are both masculine signs. My Mars is also in the 5th house.

I think the houses have to play a part in this, too. My Moon is in Cancer and Venus is in Virgo, both feminine signs. But they're located in masculine houses--Moon in the 1st and Venus in the 3rd.

I find this theory very interesting, tbh. It totally explains why sometimes, even if people have their planets in masculine signs, they still act feminine because most of their planets are in feminine houses.

That is interesting. I never put that together. Now thinking about it, some of the guys that are kinda feminine and not too assertive have similar placements. Something to think about.

Then I have sun Virgo, Mars Capricorn (trine). Moon Gemini and Venus libra (trine). I think I am in the same boat.

Having sun/mars in cancer along with moon in taurus does not make your masculinity weak.

Taurus,Cancer and the other fixed signs are signs that base their life and relationships around boundaries. A Gemini can work around boundaries, as well as a Pisces or Sagittarius. If you cross a cancer or Taurus' established boundary these signs WILL or eventually will express themselves in a masculine manner lol.
