Can anyone share how Sun in the 12th house effects them? How does it effect you compared to your Moon and Rising sign, is it very dominant?

My daughter has Aqua rising 29 degrees with a stellium in Aquarius (Juno, Sun, Jupiter, NN, Chiron, Neptune). Her Moon is in Sag. She doesn't give off a Aquarius/Sag vibe though. She is extremely sensitive and cries at the drop of a hat. She also gets angry easily and can sometimes be really mean to her sister. I would never have guessed she was Aqua/Sag. Same with a couple other people I know who have Sun in the 12th. Never would have guessed both of them were Leo risings, they are both really quite and moody. No Leo energy, but they both have Saturn placements that might be part of it. So is this Sun in the 12th stuff or something else in the chart?

Thank you!

Definitely water houses! Water houses correspond to the water signs so the energy in life will be spent on water sign activities, a couple of them are being emotional and sensitive. That is normal for a water sign. Someone with a twelfth house sun is delicate, sensitive and emotional. They could take things personally and could be quite affected by environment. They could need more breaks than others. Emotions tend to be a symptom of over stimulation. She could develop depression so look for ways to bring joy into this person's life.
Do not take her for granted and make sure she feels like she is not overlooked since the water houses are associated with having to go without for others.

Hello! I dared to enter to comment, because my mother also has sun in 12 and leo rising...but her sun is in cancer too...the crying..the moodiness can come from that...she has a cappy moon..but she does not act her leo rising..I know another girl with sun in 12 aries sun , gemini moon, stil she can cry ( out of nerves and anger
and is scarry when she does that. My point..sun in 12 is an important factor for such behaviour, is the inner core..must be hard..my mom does not open up, please support your daughter:)

Both me and my mother are pisces risings with aquarius stelliums in the 12th, including sun and saturn in the 12th.
My mother is really sensitive and nervous(but she also has a scorpio moon), gets stressed out all the time, blames herself a lot whenever she does anything wrong, never praises herself , she never says no to helping people, her father died when she was 10, she has weird dreams, she's religious(literally has asteroid christian conjunct her sun), she really enjoys being social.
Me on the other hand(my sun is conjunct moon), my father is like my best friend, we never run out of things to talk about, but he's really passive and has no authority over me, he is never really a father, just a really good friend, if that makes sense...Attention and praise make me feel really uncomfortable,im really detached, it's really hard to open up, i really hate being defined, like i am a lot of things, hum, i can't really deal with reality, i live in a fairytale,I am a hermit basically, I don't really feel like I have an ego since in the sun in aquarius in the 12th is both in detriment and fall, I don't really care about what happens to me usually, something like "i don't want to go anywhere myself, but i want the world to go somewhere", im sure my mother relate to that.

My 9 year old daughter has a 12H Aries Sun/Venus with Gemini Rising and Gemmy Moon in the 1st house. She is VERY sensitive and uncommonly compassionate for someone her age and being an Aries. I understand her very well as I am a 7H Pisces Moon & Neptune is all over my natal chart. Her Mother's Day essay focused on the empathy I give her. Yeah, I cried when I read it. I don't cry easily as I am a female Ron Swanson.

KarmicMoon, I am really glad you posted about this subject. 12H/Neptunian/Piscean kiddoes have a very rough time and it is a continual heartbreak on us parents.

I am a 12h Aries sun merc venus and you'd never know I am an aries. Aries are known for their anger, I can only remember one or two times in which I was angry in my whole life. Irritated over not being able to say no or express my feelings clearly, yes. But not angry.

Oh and I love solitude and being in my own head most of the time.. unlike the standard aries depiction.

Sun in 12th is very dominate and takes over the whole chart, it's so strong. It makes you even more Pisces than a Pisces, it's weird how this house can be so powerful, when it's written as a weak house, of course I don't believe this "weak status", not after reading a few articles about the strength of this house. It's the only house that can actually see the Sun rising in the sky, the 1st house is still in the dark, but when the Sun hits the 12th house is when the Sun glows so bright in the morning light, newborn babies born with the Sun in 12th
is the only babies to be witness when the Sun is emerging from its cocoon, that is a very special moment.

I have Cancer Sun in 12th and always felt like a visitor on Earth, it really does hurt to be here, for me anyways. I'm misunderstood, feel like I can't express myself, and feel awkward, hard to connect to the external. Internally restless, need solitude and need my music and books too, I think that is more Gemini related though. This Sun is the most difficult but it has made me stronger as I gotten older. I still don't know what to do with my life, a late bloomer, sensitive, and like a fish out of water. I guess I chose to incarnate with all these difficulties for a reason...I also have a balsamic moon, retrograde Neptune, Pisces North Node, Moon/Neptune, Sun/Neptune, Mercury/Neptune, Venus/Neptune, Neptune on Asc and MC aspects...

Hmm I have a 12th house stellium including the sun. I don't get really angry easily although I get annoyed quite often.

I was more even-tempered as a child. But I remember getting really irritated when s.o "invaded" my space - I liked to be by myself to think/day-dream/etc... Idk I hated to be coddled or fussed over - I felt like it sorta "disrupted" my quiet, peaceful state of mind.

I grew up to be less even-tempered (lol). Around my early teenage years I started to find myself drawn to people and crowded places. Now I def don't need that much "me" time.

I also have my sun in the 12th (in taurus though) and I could have said the above exactly except for the cancer part. Exactly!!!!

Yesssssssss... 12H Virgo Sun opposite Pisces Moon... SOOO many emotions!! In my 12H I have Sun, Mars, Venus and Mercury. Saturn squares all of those AND my Moon. Hidden, stunted, deep, emotions. It was hard to understand and deal with it all as a teenager...I felt confused and conflicted, plus I have an uncanny ability to read people...I used to think I was paranoid and making it up. But I am so much more in control of my emotions now and good at reading people.

Sun in Aquarius in the 12th conjunct Saturn.... I think i'm pretty friendly and sociable generally but I need a lot of alone time. If i'm not in the mood to socialize I get extremely cranky and just want to be left to my thoughts. I'm also prone to depression and cynicism.

Wow, thanks everyone for your replies. They really touched me. They make me see I need to really be aware of this. It's funny, I have Venus, Moon and SN in the 12th so I am familiar with 12th house issues, but when it comes to my children I sometimes block stuff. I've never really sat down and analyzed their charts. Maybe I don't want to make preconceived notions based on astrology and then impose that on them.

Anyway, I am going to be more aware of this aspect. She has Saturn oppose Venus, too, in tight aspect. As far as being alone, right now, she hates to be alone and is always complaining if no one plays with her. I imagine this will change when she is older. She is very bright and quirky. Seems like moving towards her NN in Aquarius might be tough for her.

I have sun in gemini, north node in cancer, and part of fortune in the 12th house.

Feel like a visitor on earth like someone said thats for sure. For some reason i feel immortal. Like i wont die lol. I like to be alone sometimes with just family. I like being in my nest. But there are times when i am a social wild girl. I am sensitive to those in need. Also 12 house suns usually have a father who died or father whos barely around.

I can be moody. I daydream alot too lol!
