Why do I attract so many people with Mercury / Pluto aspects or Mercury in Scorpio? My Mercury doesn't even touch Pluto or come close to it! It's in the 11th house sextile my Gemini ASC, and in Aries.

No sir

Maybe it's my Mercury square Neptune or Mercury square Saturn? Both of those are honorary Mercuries that would be compatible with Mercury in Scorpio or Mercury / Pluto, right?

Pluto sextile ASC can affect the way people view you. Others with Mercury/Pluto aspects may be drawn to you for the intensity that they may perceive?

Yeah, they're supposed to be compatible in general, but is that enough for them to be drawn towards you? I don't know.

Oh I don't have Pluto sextile ASC. Wish I did though. I have Mars conj. ASC.

Oky..let's butt in :d
I am a mercury opp pluto ...and mars(in aries) square asc\
So I understand your mercury is in aries and ppl with merc in scorp are drawn to you?
This is weird...I personally do not get along with merc in aries,(that's bcz it's in taurus:D) but I won't generalise..I did some researches and some ppl, not all, stated the same

The reason is that the signs mars and scorp are quinqunx the 150 degree...that seems sooo far

BUT it happends to you, so I believe this is not a rule, not a pattern

Only one thing comes to my mind, quite simplistic, but I have no other idea: aries has two rulers. Mars and Scorpio :) So your mercury does not have to touch any scorp, because it is contained in its essence
so, naturally the merc in scorp or with aspects to pluto are attracted to you:)
Hope I am not way-off with what I am saying

I think generally - any - Aries placement can connect with a Scorpio placement and there can be an attraction, whether we're talking about Sun signs, Moon signs, Mercuries etc.

The connection is not perfect.. because this aspect is still a quincunx (at least by sign) - so it always feels a little out of sync. The energies are very different.. but the passion, emotion and energy the defines both Aries and Scorpio - can be mutually atractive.

They're both Martian signs!.. which I know you already know Hannah, so I'm stating the obvious lol But sometimes astrologers neglect to mention and understand that there really is an invisible link between Aries and Scorpio. It's not a small/insignificant connection that they share a ruler.

On a verbal level (since this is about Mercuries) - a Scorpio Merc could be attracted to the forthrightness of Aries Mercury.. the fact that they don't mince their words and that they are usually opinionated and confident. They can trust Aries Mercury to be honest and tell it like it is.
Aries Merc would probably be fascinated with the way Scorpio Merc can really get in their head space and understand them before they express themselves out loud.

Always check the Mars aspects as well in synastry. That can be an indication! For instance.. you have Gemini Mars (and Mars is the dispositor of your Merc)..
If you meet a Scorpio Mercury person, and the dispositor of their Merc is Mars in Sagittarius (opposite yours) - that can make for very lively conversations.. and a lot of interesting sparks!

Attracting Mercury/Pluto - might just be because of your Moon/Pluto aspect. Do you also attract Venus/Pluto - and other Moon/Pluto individuals?

& Did you check the minor aspects on astro.com?
Maybe you have a minor aspect between Mercury and Pluto.. If it's exact it could still be significant.

I'm a merc opp Pluto and I do like your posting style on here. Something about the brevity, self-awareness and focused curiosity without superfluous detail. Maybe that appeals to investigative mind of merc-Pluto or mimics their confusion/curiosity.

Edit it could be moon/Pluto as I am attracted to that

I didn't check minor aspects! How do you do that?

There's two people that come to mind with Venus / Pluto aspects but I'm sure there's more. My Pluto is in that and then conjunct my Vertex, which must also be opposing my Moon.

YES I meet a lot of Moon / Pluto people (as a side note they don't seem as intense as me but maybe my Moon is exaggerated with my Aries stuff).
