There might already be threads on this but I'm wondering about the houses/aspects that contribute to an interest in law? I was looking at my step-mom's chart who is a lawyer, and I had to laugh at how obvious some of the angles/placements are. Anyway my whole life I was told "you should become a lawyer", but I've had my reasons for not liking the profession.. Although now, I've been thinking if I could find the right branch of law it might not be such a terrible idea.. In general, for aspects I'd say: 9th house and Sag planets: obvious reasons 7th house and Libra planets: diplomacy and "open enemies", 9th and 7th house rulers are important too Cap placements or strong Saturn: authority and hierarchies Virgo/6th house depending on the planet: ability to meticulously analyze details and boring information lol I'd also look at the 11th house: concerned with Aquarian "ideals" for society So any thoughts? Anyone here go through law school/work in the legal world or know the chart of someone who has and want to share? IP: Logged |

I want to work in the law field, since about age 6. I'm going for my bachelors now and considering law school afterwards. I have 9th house placements... have some 7th house stuff too, so maybe you're onto something with the 7th/9th house. Also have strong Saturn conjunct Moon. IP: Logged |

^Nice you have co-ruler of 9th in 7th house, and ruler of 7th in 9th.. Plus Libra Merc, Virgo Sun in 3rd (communication, writing) and your MC ruler Mars conj Asc. Thanks for posting, seems like you have a great chart for it! Do you know what type of law you'd want to go into? Also true about your Moon-Saturn in 9th. Cool that it's also trine Jupiter, which I was thinking might have something to do with it too.. IP: Logged |

Here's my step-mom's chart: I never knew her birth time until recently, but going along with my theories she has ruler of 9th conjunct ruler of 7th (in 11th house), Virgo Jupiter-Moon-Venus in 9th. Jupiter sextile 9th ruler, Venus and Pluto conjunct MC lol. Sag Asc and Cap Mars in 1st On a side note, it's a little crazy that her Asc conjuncts my moon, and her IC/MC axis conjuncts my MC/IC... We didn't really get along when I was younger but these days she's one of the few people in my immediate family I can even tolerate lol IP: Logged |

Every second person in my class had either Libra or Capricorn prominent. It was so strange. It was usually the Sun and/or Mars in those signs. My own Mars is in Capricorn. I don't mean to be simplistic.. but the *amount* of people in my class who fit this profile is pretty astounding. I know their birth data because I have them added on FB. Obviously I don't have their TOB though. The ASC/Houses would also be significant. IP: Logged |

Actually... maybe I could create a spreadsheet with the people in my law school FB group. There are about 200 people and I have most of them added, so I have access to a lot of their birthdays. It's just that it would be a pain in the b*tt to go through all of them lol... I'll try to do this when I have the time and get back to this thread. The findings would be interesting IP: Logged |

Well someone is a lot more knowledgeable in astrology than I am haha. No quite certain yet, I am stuck between becoming a Lawyer or a Forensic Psychologist. I'm just starting out, so I'm dabbling. The only thing I'm certain of is I love law. How about you?

Hey I didn't know you went to law school?? But that's cool about the Cap/Libra... And makes sense with your Cap mars, you have a Cap moon too right? I guess it would make sense in my chart too with Cap Sun in 7th conjunct Saturn-NN (Saturn rules my 7th and is co-ruler of 9th) Anyway yeah it would be really interesting to see the findings of a spreadsheet only if you want to and have time though, it would be really tedious lol so no worries if not...

Nice, and yeah I'm sure you have plenty of time to figure it out... I've considered going into Forensics too but would be interested more in the jobs that require a science degree, and I don't want to start over with that. Law school is just an idea at this point, paying for it seems a little too unrealistic unless I could kill it on the LSAT and get a decent scholarship.. But my undergrad major is Intl relations so I'd consider International law or maybe something like Environmental law... And thanks for the compliment btw I've just had a lot of free time to learn over the years lol

I don't know the exact chart because he didn't know his TOB but my ex works for the prosecutor's office. He interned beneath prosecutors or whatever and was going to go to law school but ended up getting a really good job offer through connections he'd made. He fell in love with law and criminal justice. He's an Aries sun, Cancer or Gemini moon (it changes on his birthdate), Pisces Mercury, Taurus Venus, Capricorn Mars. IP: Logged |
