Mars in Aquarius in the 3rd (conjunct Saturn & squaring Pluto).

When I like someone, I tend to provoke them a bit, tease them... (I also have Venus in the 3rd, so it's all in a very light-hearted, flirty way). My communication style is often an upfront & honest one - some people mistake it with being aggressive, although I can get quite blunt if I get annoyed etc. lol (I also have Mercury in Aries). When there's tension in the air, I usually and initially try to stay detached (Aquarius) and grounded (Saturn) and not really mess around a lot with that... But if my buttons get pushed a lot, that Pluto square will come out. I get easily annoyed with things (I think it's that Pluto square plus the sensitivity that comes with other placements), but I usually don't show that, or try not to when I don't think it's appropriate or when I know it's just an ego related thing and such(Saturn self-control). I love being mentally stimulated and that's a real turn on for me in regards to someone. I like a man who questions things, who has an intriguing mind and who isn't easily influenced by others. In regards to my own mind, I usually think out of the box... I think in original ways and try to look at different perspectives from the ones that are easily seen.

I've personally come to love and respect my Mars in Virgo (like all my placements, ) because it gives me a pure and simple ability to GET THINGS DONE. Mars is like your ability to be a BAMF, where and how you can kick butt. My Virgo Mars makes me a BAMF when it comes to work and people are always impressed by how much I can get done.

I think Virgo Mars can be even better than this than Aries Mars. Because Virgo is all about being productive and Mars is all about action and so put those two energies together and you've got a person who's pretty militant about accomplishing tasks.

I've realized that while other people moan and groan about things they have to do, I can just tackle it, no questions asked, even if I do have that brief moment of "This sucks" or whatever beforehand. I'm also a writer and I almost never get writer's block. It's very, very rare, because I can make the goal to do a certain amount of writing every day and I always stick to it. I can write an entire draft of a script in about a week or a week and a half.

I've also realized how talkative all my Virgo energy can make it. I'm very good at keeping conversations flowing and when I'm with people who are less verbal, I often dominate the conversation and direct it.

Can't believe how much I relate to this. All of this, basically. Except for the talking part, I'm mostly the listener, except for when I need to vent.

And I'm from your year.

It's a mess of a Mars placement, it doesn't function very well. I've heard that it's second worse to Mars in Libra, don't know how true any of it is though.

Imagine trying to form something out of goopy mud...

Mars in Cancer in 12th been working on my Mars a long while now. Not too concerned about it as I use to be, I'm beginning to learn to live with my Mars in Cancer, I have Mars square Jupiter which amplifies it, a sextile to Pluto, and a very wide Sun aspect, also POF is conjunct it, so it's not like the fates weren't trying to help me out a little with the dismal placement.

I'm kinda of glad my Mars isn't strong, I already have a afflicted Aries MC, Leo Asc and Leo Venus I really don't need any more competitive energy -- it all works out and keeps my chart more yin than yang. I resonate more to being quiet, introspective, and creative. Yin energy suits me so much better.

In terms of the planet's strength, Mars in Cancer is the weakest, then Mars in Libra, then Taurus. Mars in Pisces is probably around there as well, since Pisces isn't an aggressive sign, and rather introverted. Plus it's ruled by Neptune, which means it's more of a dreamer, than fighter.

This is because Mars is debilitated in Cancer, in detriment in Libra (purely detriment) and Taurus (co-detriment). They're in detriment because Mars in Aries is domicile, so it's opposite sign is Libra, and Mars in Scorpio is co-domicile, so it's opposite sign is Taurus.

Whenever a planet is domicile in a sign, it's opposite sign will be considered it's detriment.

Detriment means that the planet is the furthest away from it's natural state (or as Vedic Astrology would say, it's "home"), so it will generally be weaker, and seem to not work toward the path of that particular planet, but rather go it's own way, depending on that particular detriment placement.
It differs from debilitated in a sense that planet in debilitation "cannot" work well with the planet's energies (or at least have a lot of trouble), as opposed to to planet in detriment, which "will not".

That is my take on it, at least.

E.g.
Domicile <planet> Detriment
Aries <Mars> Libra
Taurus <Venus> Scorpio
Gemini <Mercury> Sagittarius
Cancer <Moon> Capricorn
Etc

I have my Mars in Capricorn.
In 3rd House.

Very busy Mars I have!
-Sextile to Pluto & Jupiter.
-Conjunct Neptune.
-Opposite MC.
-Square ASC.

I can come off a variety of different ways, I suppose. What do you all think based on this??

I'm grounded, intellectual, intense & intuitive. I enjoy it for the most part.

Awesome! When's your birthday cause we're definitely fairly close together, then. I feel like I've asked you about this before or talked to you about it before. I don't know.

And yes, I make a great listener, too. I almost never interrupt people and always make sure to take in every word they say before responding. I think I just understand how communication is a give and take (Mercury and Mars in Virgo both sextile my Moon). So, if I'm not listening and talking equally, it feels off. I think that's why I guide the conversation so much. Not to dominate it, exactly, but because communication is so important. I feel just as off if the other person isn't giving and receiving communication equally (too quiet or too caught up in their own words).

Rx Mars in Libra...not sure which is worse, that fact that it's in detriment or that is retrorgrade lol

Like you have noooo idea how happy I will be when Mars FINALLY goes into Scorpio, tired of dealing with hesitant men..but then the next obstacle will be dealing with the control and manipulation. But you know what I'll take that over being indecisive and not knowing what you want any day of the week. At least in the previous scenario you know what you want and you go for it!!!
