Hy! I had a thread on this a while ago,
from what ppl answered it was moon/pluto ppl with harsh aspects: the opp& the square,

also I rememeber someone saying a moon conj pluto in 8th house.

I further implied that neptune is in this too, but got not other answers:))
I believe it involves neptune too

Aren't they only attracted to the people who actually give them energy?

It's a two way street. If you don't let them drain you, they'll leave you alone.

But Pluto & Neptune, connected to the Moon especially, can point to being an energetic vampire and/or attracting them.

I would think that any personal planet in any of the water houses, perhaps especially the 12th, could be an indicator of attracting emotional/energy vampires and the like. I have a 12H Mars and Moon, and I swear I get too drained sometimes by even being around people I know, way too fast. With the Moon there, you're quite susceptible to picking up emotional energy from others very easily, sometimes to the point where you can subconsciously take on their emotions rather than your own, and not realize that what you might be feeling is actually emotion that didn't originate from you. Thus, you get emotionally, and perhaps physically drained because it's usually a subconscious thing. The boundaries have a very thin line between them.
