Do you find it hard not to intellectualize your feelings? Do you find it that sometimes you're clingy, the next you're aloof? Do you tend to ignore really strong emotions from yourself or others because they overwhelm you?------------------

Yes to all!!
My only water is scorpio Uranus, I have one earth placement, a virgo moon in 12th though and now that I have dived into my 12th emotional issues, it's different I'm better about running from emotional things.But for years I did exactly as you described!

i like to keep my emotions neat and tidy. if i can't rationalize them, i dig deep to the source and figure out why i'm feeling something that apparently doesn't make sense and then do what i can to change or understand it. i definitely do not act on irrational emotions. my heavy air influence and cap moon contribute to this. i definitely am private when it comes to my emotional world. i have no problem sharing joy, love and good times with people, but when it comes to the darker stuff, i don't want anyone to share the load. i am never clingy. but i can definitely be aloof. i wouldn't say strong emotions overwhelm me, and while i can ignore them, i prefer not to as that doesn't work…and definitely doesn't keep things neat and tidy. i often feel very strongly about the state of the world. it is perhaps due to my aqua mc, but it is very important to me to help/change the world for the better…i can get VERY sad, distraught, broken over all the really horrible things that are happening….these are emotions that i can more easily share. they aren't 'personal' or irrational. vs. my dog dying….this devastated me. i am still crazy sad about it. but i don't talk about this really. it is my load. gem sun, asc, mars, nn

Uranus in Scorpio my only water planet. I do have Virgo mercury Mars Venus in 12 though, and Leo sun.
Moon in Gemini (9th)All of those except Venus aspect my moon. I'm all over the place sometimes, or used to be. I can rationalize them and apply logic. I feel strong emotion though.
Edit - in later years I've learned to kind of choose how I want to feel, if I want to. Where the biggest void is... And it's huge, is empathy/sympathy. Generally, I don't have it. IP: Logged |

I find it exceptionally easy to both intellectualize my feelings
and
feel my feelings. I am pretty much a feelings oriented person with a water singleton that happens to be Neptune. I have a stellium/conjunction involving Mercury in a psychology driven air sign, too. IP: Logged |

The only water placement I have is scorpio pluto. However, I have 12th moon and neptune conjunct mars and venus. I have typical 12th house moon problems: not knowing why I'm feeling certain things
That said, I don't ignore my feelings. I like to dig deeper and understand my own psychological motivation. But I have pluto square sun and mercury so maybe that's why. I try not to ignore my feelings but I don't know how I feel most of the time. I think this is more a 12th house moon issue than air EDIT: air ppl do feel by the way. They are just less attached to feelings and want to take things more lightly IP: Logged |

My only water placement is Pluto in Scorpio. I am mostly Air and Earth dominated, but a lot of times I feel like it doesn't quite match because I feel emotion so very strongly, although a lot of time it is not so visible to other people. I do not really appear cold or insensitive. I do intellectualize my feelings, but I cant say how much or how often. I have a Gemini Moon in the 12th, and it is sextile my Mercury. I think this attributes as to why I don't feel so Air/Earth with my feelings all the time, because I feel the pull of having a Water Moon and other placements in the 12th, like Pisces. Also having Moon sextile Mercury tightly gives me a good ability to make sense of both my thoughts and feelings and not allow either one to overrule the other so much.IP: Logged |
