In YOUR opinion what signs/aspects are are known for lying and/or being compulsive liars. I don't mean white lies such as saying a person dress is cute when it's fugly as hell or lying about someone's food tasting good when it tastes like cardboard. I mean full blown lies, people who have to one up others with their fabricated stories, people who just can't tell the truth. Avid false story tellers. I wanna hear it all.  IP: Logged |

Gosh, whats hardest about this is that the liars that I know are so good at it that I really don't know whether they are compulsive liars or the type that actually believes the **** they say to be real. For example i've known a lot of gemini folk who legitimately do not remember making previous commitments or that they had expressed an opposite opinion, so in that case i consider them careless rather than liars.The biggest pathological liar and manipulator i've known was a pisces ascendant with a libra sun and mars. They were absolutely okay with manipulating and lying to people so long as someone else was entertained by it. They lied about themselves all the time and it was like you could never know what was really the truth coming out of her mouth. IP: Logged |

I agree! Like it's generally the people who have the hard aspects with the Mercury/Neptune that tend to lie too much. My brother has the opposition, he lies a bit. The people with the softer aspects between Mercury/Neptune aren't really problematic in my opinion - as a matter of fact, they are very imaginative and creative in their speech. Good aspects between Mercury/Nep makes up good rappers and poets as well. ------------------

Looking at a chart of one of the biggest liars I know, I feel like I cant even be sure of the birth date or time since they were THAT much of a liar, but it does have mercury, sun and venus square neptune. He also has sun, mercury, venus, and mars quincunx pluto.Which interestingly reminds me of how the quincunx could be related to lies and dellusion. i've often seen the quincunx as some kind of a blind spot where people are not made consciously aware of their behavior related to the cognitive dissonance brought about by it. This is so true. There was a girl I knew in high school and who I wish I knew her birthday to go over her chart, was the biggest and I mean biggest liar. It's like she believed it even more so when she got called out on it. She was really sweet so it really threw people off but I swear I have an awesome bs radar and can just smell it aside from sensing it. There was an Aqua girl I knew who I swear is Pisces heavy just because she looks to be, was also a compulsive liar. It didn't make sense the way the girl lied over the stupidest crap. IP: Logged |

I've had the displeasure of dating 3 pathological liarsguy #1: He's an Aqua with Sag Moon. His Ascendant is in Pisces. His Neptune is square his Ascendant. His MErcury is retrograde in Pisces in the 12th house. This guy really had a problem. He lied about EVERYTHING. guy #2: Also has Mercury retro in the 12th house, but his is in Aquarius conjunct his Sun. His Sun/Mercury is square Jupiter and Moon. Again, Pisces ascendant. He was just pathological when it came to lying. He lied to me about the dumbest things. Guy #3: Sun/Uranus conjunct in Scorpio, Pisces Moon. His scorp Mercury is unaspected. The ruler of his 3rd house, Mars, is conjunct Neptune. He made up stories all the time. IP: Logged |

I agree as I have hard aspects with Mercury, Mars, my ascendant and Neptune. I can lie, very easily if I wanted but I don't. I'm a very truthful and loyal person and to me that's sooo much more important than lying about something little, small and just plain stupid. I'd rather have a guilt free, trustworthy conscious over a lying and forever guilty one. It's easier to be honest than it is to lie, once you tell one then you have to keep going and going. I had a friend
Virgo with Libra MoonThe ONLY squares in his chart was Sun square Neptune and Sun square Jupiter He ALWAYS had a story to one-up someone else. I knew they were lies because I'd be standing right there and he would tell someone else a lie about something that we did together. I let it go because they were just stupid, harmless lies. My youngest brother who is a very water heavy Capricorn is a horrible little liar. Lies about everything just to get someone to laugh at him. I'm hoping that it's a phase that he outgrows because right now his future isn't looking to bright. He's extremely smart and I'd hate to see that be pushed aside because he's a liar. Sadly all the people I have known that lie the way you are talking about USUALLY have Cancer Mercury. I myself have that placement so I can honestly say I do see it. I think once you are conscience of it though you can break it. I have also known Leo's to be liars. IP: Logged |

I don't lie, I have mercury square neptune and a libra mercury.
But I do admit that I tend to "not tell things" if I don't want people to know. But if they ask me, I couldn't lie to them. I also got mercury square saturn, I think this aspect makes a person unable to be a liar. I noticed my boyfriend got this tendency too… he is a libra sun with virgo mercury in the 5th house trine saturn and conjunction venus/sun. He is not a liar, but he "doesn't tell things correctly" if he don't want people to know. I hate to dig into stuff, but if I ask him directly he probably wouldn't lie… but my own mercury doesn't want to know anyways lol… I think we both have our "stuff" that we don't want to tell each other about, but as long as it's not major stuff, then I think it's ok… you don't have to tell everything, it's ok to have a secret or two. But if the other wants to know and asks directly, then it's a bad idea to lie though. But no, I would not consider myself a liar! IP: Logged |

I agree. Despite the hard aspects I have with Neptune I'm not a liar. It hurts me lying to people. I'd rather be blatantly honest than blatantly lying. I have libra mercury as well and I do the same. IP: Logged |

Lol that sounds like me... But that's because I literally don't remember what I say or what other people say, I have a terrible memory.
Gemini ASC/SN here. --- For actual, delusional, big, fat lies, look for Neptune and Pisces... A lot of people here mentioned those two already, and it's true! Aqua + Pisces especially can be prone to lying a lot... it's almost creepy cause they're so far away from reality... That's what happens when you combine Uranus and Neptune, eh. Neptune rules over illusions and distortion of reality, so it makes sense. I'm sure some of them actually do believe whatever they say, although I doubt they're all that way. The people who lie just for kicks and giggles and basically to fool or trick people, I'd say have some Gemini/Sag placements, or some type of Mercury/Jupiter activity going on. Merc/Jup aspects often exaggerate a lot and tend to distort reality, a bit like Merc/Neptune aspects. Obviously I'm generalizing, not everyone with said influences/aspects will be a liar, blah blah. Heavy and afflicted neptune, i have that in my chart but i also have a no ******** mercury aries conjunct sun in the 9th to compensate. It depends if there are good aspects to mercury in addition to those afflictions.The biggest liars i have met had sun conjunct neptune and sun square neptune from what i remember off the top of my head. Like others noted here, I've found Gemini's or Gemini dominates have the easiest time lying or least selling a lie, I have found Taurus placements can do this to but its more of a bend the true or tell part of the story and change the rest but not really in a malicious way. A poorly aspected Saturn can be a big indicator, Saturn controls ego, i.e. lack of of a sound ego leads to deceiving and miss-ling people for personal gain.IP: Logged |

Agreed. I've only observed this in the harsh aspects though. But that doesn't mean everyone who has a harsh aspect is a automatic liar. I would look at Sun-Neptune as well. Other energy that comes to mind is Gemini, they can surely sell you a story. At the end of the day though, any sign is capable of being a compulsive liar and a lot it comes down to human behavior. I so agree with this. I stopped and tried to remember each person I knew that made up some story to improve their image and they have Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus or Mars in Pisces. I agree too about Cancer Sun and Mercury, they make up stories too to improve how people view them. At least they don't slander people, as far as the ones I have encountered. I noticed a friend that had an Aries Sun and Libra Moon always lie when it's her fault or when she did something wrong and you confront her about it. If she can't make an outright lie, she will pretend she can't remember it. As for the slanderous lies, I'd say Gemini, and Virgo and Capricorn from personal experience and observation. Moon square/opposition Mercury is confirmed to slander people. I know 2 people who told lies to be able to achieve their goals. And I quote from Astro123: "Moon discordant to Mercury:"
