Aphrodite UraniaPandemos = first describing her as the goddess of low sensual pleasures as Venus vulgivaga or popularis, in opposition to Aphrodite Urania, or "the heavenly Aphrodite". Urania = signifying "heavenly" or "spiritual", to distinguish her from her more earthly aspect of Aphrodite Pandemos, "Aphrodite for all the people".[1] The two were used (mostly in literature) to differentiate the more "celestial" love of body and soul from purely physical lust. Plato represented her as a daughter of the Greek god Uranus, conceived and born without a mother. IP: Logged |

^ You can't get anymore Venusian than Libra. It's the purest form of them both. They're both completely different, and not comparable. I think you're getting confused somewhere. There were many different titles and forms of Aphrodite, but still just the one. IP: Logged |

Out of all the theories this one fits the best for me, as someone who knows people with Libra stelliums and Taurus stelliums. People with easily provoked passions are so annoying.

I think the sensuality and indulgence that comes with Taurus is more Venusian than harmony and love for all! Venusian is the erotic feminine after all.. Taurus is more erotic than Libra is.. if you say a woman is highly Venusian (in a general context and referring to the mythological figure) that means she loves to please men and is very sensitive in her sexuality and attuned with it. Sometimes she can go overboard and she is very fond of all sensual pleasures. Which one does that sound like more? Taurus or Libra? Even characteristics described to a planetary type .. (e.g Saturine, Mercurian) ..Venusian is described as heavier with round hands and generally pleasing but very indulgent and even lazy.. sounds more Taurus to me.. IP: Logged |

Whoa whoa girl! Yes Venus is their ruling planet just like many other signs and their ruling plants, but she rules them both in different forms and ways. You can't compare Taurus and Libra. They're different, with different outlooks and values. That's like comparing apples to oranges, they're both fruits but completely different, in colors, tastes, etc. What's the competition about lol? I didn't know we were having a contest, you're not even a Taurus or Libra sun ...I have you beat in that area anyway. You can't generalize body types, sizes and personalities... IP: Logged |

I'm a Taurus Moon with a Venus in 5th. It kind of counts... kind of You're right. Yeah, I know. But they say people with dominate Taurus on their physical aspects manifests this way. I notice it tends to and they say Venusian peoples (in planetary descriptions) physical appearance manifest like that. Do you think its false then or exaggerated? IP: Logged |

I have a Sun and Venus in Taurus, with Aphrodite-Vesta on my AC (Cancer) and this does not describe me:
quote: Pandemos = first describing her as the goddess of low sensual pleasures as Venus vulgivaga or popularis
Sun, Venus (and Mercury) in the 11th. Sun opp Mars, trine Moon-IC (Vir). Mercury opp Pluto, trine Neptune ssqu. Uranus. Venus opp. Saturn, qux. Uranus, trine Jupiter. Asteroid Cupido also conj. my Venus. Empty 2nd house, Jupiter in the 7th, and Urania is the only thing in Libra (natal). Uranus also squ. my Moon-IC/MC. What aspects do those people with Taurus stelliums have? ETA: Taurus is weakest in my chart, according to Pullen, so there is that. ETA: Oops, it's Libra that is weakest, Taurus is in 4th place. Exaggerated. They're both Venusian so the body type would apply to both, not just one. If we do want to generalize than Tauruses are shaped like bulls and Libras are well balanced and proportionate. Tauruses are stubborn and Libras are fickle. Taurus is peace loving, Libra is charming. Taurus is home loving, Libras are social fanatics. Libra is venus by day, Taurus by night. It's the same idea but different. The house has a huge impact, the aspects, etc. you can't generalize, it's the whole chart. What's your sun again? According to Pullen Venus is my strongest planet so I'd think that I have an idea of how it works. IP: Logged |

But I will say that the bold does apply to me, lol.

How do you look physically? I'm curious!
Athletic, toned/muscular, average height (5'4), small hands, feet are average size too (9 US), broad shoulders, and I do have a big head. A big head, but a soft, angular face; defined cheekbones 'n such, medium sized nose, and slanted eyes. I was a string bean/stick figure when I was a kid though. I am more the earthy, nature loving, childlike, hippyish/"save the world" type, tomboy version of Taurus. The scientist and the artist. I've always been into athletics/sports (Martial Arts, gymnastics, running, volleyball) and I need to be strong to work with animals the way I do, and to do the kinds of outdoor activities I love...I also like being able to just get things done when it comes to hauling, or more intense labor... quote:

Libra rules my chart by far, according to astro.comLibra AC/Pluto/Venus/anti-Vertex I dated a Taurus Sun/Merc/Venus/Saturn/IC We both loved deeply, we seemed to be devoted to love equally and wanted to give love equally....but I was more light hearted, bubbly and flirty and he was more serious, intense and sensual, we complimented each other very well! I think they are both ruled by Venus because they both display important qualities of love, they are just different qualities.... Libra initiates love Taurus makes it last IP: Logged |
