So, I went to see a palmist yesterday (I wasn't sure what to expect but she was so great and 99% accurate!) Well, when she looked at my knuckles she said "This is very cool, don't see this often; in your past life you would have been an ancient astrologer. Are you interested in astrology at all?" I'm pretty sure my face went:

So my question is have any of you looked into your past lives, astrology or otherwise? And what in your birth chart indicates it?

12th house and saturn placements come to mind but I was wondering if the 8th house would have any bearing as well?

The south node, saturn, pluto and their aspects are important also retro planets are important. They all give clues about past lives, and show your karma. Moon is also karmic.
Actually your current natal chart is considered when researching about the past lives it shows the point of progress the soul has reached as well as the karma.

I always enjoy talking about past lives. I have Moon, SN, Venus, Vesta and BML in the 12th. Venus squared by Saturn and Neptune. Moon qc Chiron. I had a very good astrologer tell me in my past life I was a servant who had an affair with my employer. Although we were deeply in love we had to keep it secret. He eventually broke my heart. I have some past life recall, only snapshots, not the full story. I think she was close but I feel like I may have been the employer and had an affair with the employee. I lived in the midwest, maybe 1870's. On a farm or ranch. I think he took care of the horses and things. We were very much in love but I think I chose duty over him but not sure. Don't know the ending and that is probably for the best.

That astrologer also said I was probably an astrologer in a past life but I can't remember the aspects that she used to determine it.

After reading Steven Forrest's book <i>Yesterday's Sky</i> (I cannot recommend that book enough if you are interested in past lives) I looked at my own natal chart and started pondering the different lives that might come from my South Node signature.

I have Leo South Node in the 3rd house (Placidus houses). As I was pondering the different lives that might point to I had the phrase "king of publishing" pop into my head.

That triggered a long buried (but vivid) memory of Joseph Pulitzer and the newsboy strike in 1899. I still have yet to get a past life regression to confirm it, but when I read Pulitzer's biography it was like an encyclopedia of all the strange quirks I had and showed all my stumbling points in my life (from resolving karma).

I also am a believer in Jeffrey Wolf Green's Evolutionary Astrology techniques (where Pluto is the main focus), but for me the South Node placement, sign and aspects is a gold mine for discovering one of your past lives.

Thanks for the response! I forgot about moon being karmic, I actually think I have a past life book based on the moon somewhere. Time to dig through my basement I guess

Wow, that's amazing! I would love to remember a past life in such detail but I suppose it's best not to get too hung up the past, like you said, lol. But it is fascinating!
I have a stellium in the 12th and venus square pluto. And sun conjunct saturn. Actually, I sometimes worry I did something bad in my past life and am making up for it now (or maybe I'm reading too many medieval interpretations of the 12th house, lol )

I have remembered several of my past lives via dreams. Two of them are documented with facts. Although one of them (seventeenth century England) just mentioned in archive the name and last name and what happened to her, it is still more than nothing.

The previous life before this one - i had many facts revealed to me in my dreams after meeting a husband from that past life. These include names, family names, years, children, life facts, professions, etc. All are validated since i live in the same country as they did. Wasn't easy to find with all the facts i had.

Per someone here and an astrologer.

SN in 8th conjunct Chiron (and Hades I think and something with a queen - early Taurus)
SN conjunct Lilith
SN square Saturn
SN Opposite Neptune
Jupiter in 8th square Sun
Moon in 9th square merc/Mars conjunction in 12th.
Venus in 12th.
There may be other things that indicate it or things that I've mentioned here that don't. It's interesting but I'm no expert.

The astrologer and knowledgeable person here both indicated that I fought in battles in past lives. The astrologer indicated that I was closely associated with a queen, possibly loved her, but I fought for her.
A person here said that I fought in battles/wars.

Plus, with the 12th, and merc/mars (virgo) the subconscious and conscious are closely tied. I do have a lot of strange and intrusive thoughts about violence.
And one past life recall in a war.

Ok, hmm... if you want to know more about yourself, you have to take a look at 3 sabian symbols that are decisive in every person's natal.

1| - Sabian for ASC
2| - Sabian for NN
3| - Sabian for SN

Here's one useful link: http://www.mindfire.ca/An%20Astrological%20Mandala/An%20Astrological%20Mandal a%20-%20Contents.htm

That book sounds wonderful, I am definitely going to try and buy that

That is so fascinating, thank-you for sharing! Did you know much about Joseph Pulitzer beforehand or did it just "click" after that memory? That's just so cool! I have SN in Pisces in my 11th house. I haven't looked into my sn as much as my nn yet but I will now (I guess they go hand in hand though)

I haven't heard about Jeffrey Wolf Green but that does sound very interesting. So since pluto is generational, does he pay more attention to the house placement and aspects than the sign pluto is in? Or is there a connection between the generations?

The planets from your chart are a landmark point of your past lives, I believe.
The degree and sign in which every planet is shows the year of reincarnation - degree and place - sign. There are many special calculations in order to find the year.

For example, I have calculated my own planets. There is a weird method after a specific table I have seen in a course of astrology I have received once. If I search it and find it I'll post it here.

So.. when you want to discover your past lifes, you start with Aries and look if you have any planet in Aries. I have Jupiter at 25 51' 44'', the minutes and seconds matter a lot in the calculation too. I have noted my years and found that I reincarnated somewhere around 28443 before christ.
Then.. you just keep on going : Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo and so on
My jupiterian reincarnation was at 28443 before christ.
My saturnian reincarnation was at 20323 before Christ.
My moon reincarnation was at 1721 before christ.
My venus was at 948 before christ.
My mercury was at 1351 after christ

Now... if you have stellium or a simple conjunction like mine, its obvious that it will be one single reincarnation. If the degree is the same or close - the year is the same or close making it the same reincarnation.

My sun is at 1550 before christ and Pluto 1588.. same reincarnation.

My mars 1854, my uranus 1877 and neptune 1847.

The degree of the planets just tell the year of reincarnation while the sign shows a possible place of reincarnation.

The planet and aspects show what kind of person you were. Like, I don't know, my pluto/sun in sagittarius was a reformer of some sort or politician I think.

I didn't know about Pulitzer (other than the Pulitzer Prize awards) before. It has been SO HELPFUL in a million ways. I am intensely grateful for the knowledge!

I am not an expert on the Evolutionary Astrology piece (Steven Forrest's books are so much easier for me to read than JWG's), but if memory serves the Pluto "evolution piece" is more broad and sweeping than the South Node information. I know they have forums for EA if you are interested in that.

Wow, how did you know it was a past life memory and not a dream? That's amazing how many facts you have! How did you meet your past life husband? And how did you know he was you past life husband?? (If you don't mind me asking!)

Because it felt real. I kind of knew all these facts. And then i found them for real.

I met him by a synchronicities that led us to meet each other. I obviously didn't' know that he was what he was when i first met him. I recognised him in a dreams that were coming just after our meeting. It is the kind of meeting when you both know that it is not just a passing one. He was the first one to ask me when we first met and clicked so easily - to check our charts to see if we have met in our past lives.

BTW, i have birth data for those people i dreamt about (past ourselves). Moons are exactly conjunct with our present Moons. And our draconic Suns are their natal tropical Suns. Astrology is fascinating.

Yeah, I feel like I have lots of relationship karma in this life based on all those planets in the 12th, my Venus t-square plus Chiron in the 7th. I don't look upon karma as good or bad though, simply as lessons and balance. Like Selene, my past life memories were trigged by a person but I have also done past life regressions. There is a wonderful series of books by Dr. Michael Newton called Journey of Souls. There is no astrology involved but really interesting information about what happens after we die, soulmates and planning our future lives. You won't look at things the same after reading it.

Sorry it's taken this long to reply, I completely forgot about this thread! I just took this on my phone so it's not great quality. I don't know much about palmistry so I can't tell you what she saw but here you go: http://s1377.photobucket.com/user/barbriallen/media/2014-11-30151615_zps00420242.jpg. html

Also *bump*! Anyone else have more to add about past lives?
