My cat and I are both Virgos and we startle really easily and are sorta high strung. I am wondering if this is typical of Virgo suns? Do any other Virgos react strongly when they are startled?

I feel this bolt of anxiety and adrenaline surge through me after I am startled, like if someone silently walks into the kitchen and I am by myself. They say something and I jump to the moon. I also feel irritated at whomever startled me although I don't want to be.
My cat is like this too. He startles really easily, even worse than me, and he really jumps, too. He doesn't get annoyed, however.

Even if you aren't a Virgo, if you are like this, please share.

Thanks.

My Virgo friend does. LOL

Granted, this might scare anyone. He had a mouse below his oven. He had a flashlight, head poked in there trying to check the trap. I made a very high pitched screech and scared the crap out of him. SOooooooo funny!

I've done things like that to him a lot because he does spook easily.

I'm literally laughing because I just had flashbacks of recent events within the last few weeks of me being (possibly a tad over the top) scared.

In most situations though it's 95% because of some bug. Like I just can't control myself, if I see anything crawling/flying around I ALWAYS end up having the biggest reaction (i.e. somewhat of a big gasp/yelp and jumping away from said thing).

One night I went to the bathroom and on my way back to my room I thought I saw something on the wall (my glasses were off so it was blurry) so I grab my glasses and a shoe (in case), come back and here goes a freaking house centipede (eww). So I'm proceeding to hit it when the darn thing starts sprinting away and guess what I do? Jump back and make the loudest noise ever which woke my mom and caused her to run and check on me . I killed it though (sorry for any bug lovers out there).

Then just earlier this week I'm out doing yard work and cleaning up the backyard when I move this bag over and see a TON of worms (but on first glance I assumed were maggots). And again... I jump and make a noise (to which again my mom comes running over asking what happened). After I calmed down and saw that they were just worms I scooped them up and but them in some dirt though.

In other scenarios I'm not so bad though and I don't get mad or irritated. Just don't put any relatively big creepy crawly flying insects by me and I'm good.

Forgot to add, I'm a Virgo Sun

To be fair those house centipedes are NAAAAAAAASTY! Ewwwwwwwww.... and they are SO fast, it's crazy. I don't know that I would have screamed. I get into like, "hunt mode". I'll follow that SOB until I find it and kill it. LOL

My Virgo friend though, he's always jumping. hahaha
Flying bugs and all that too. Same thing. He starts ducking and swatting aimlessly above his head. I'm like, "It's a moth dude." LOL

It was a moth in my room the other night too! Those aren't the worst to me though. I'm ok with some insects (gnats/ladybugs/grasshoppers etc.) but spiders, centipedes, and flies are my top 3 no-go's lol.

Even though I jump and yelp when I see a bug I still muster up the courage to kill it though (if need be). It's already bad enough to see it in my house but to know that I let it get away and can't find it? I will be up alll night paranoid and feeling all itchy D: .

Well I'm pretty sure I have ninja reflexes when it comes to bugs… My arm is acting automatically and my whole body is going to dodge whatever is after me….and I'm virgo sun yes

People are always like "Dude, what happened?"
"It was a bug ok! A BUG!"

Don't think they even realized how fast I was…I'm totally sure my reactions are faster than the speed of light!!!

Virgo asc - but I think my Aries moon plays in

I am easily startled and I'm actually pretty high strung.

We had a guest bath we didn't use because the toilet was broken.
I hadn't been in there for months, but needed quick access to water for the carpet cleaner.
I unlocked the door and flipped the light on but it kept flickering so I just left it off.
As I walked past the toilet I saw what I thought was someone's (ahem) "waste".
I set the container down and walked back over to the light and fiddled with it till it stayed on. I walked back over to the toilet to ' deal ' with it and realized it was actually a snake in there.

I don't even know how I ended up outside, but it happened lightning fast.
It wasn't even the head of the snake, it was just looped in there.
It ended up being a 3.5-4' rat snake.

We still don't know how it ended up in there, which still disturbs me.

I've found that I love the adrenalin rush. I use to be a horror movie junkie, but a lot of them now are too predictable for me :/

I've never liked them much for the same reason. I've always loved speed.
I'm not fearless, but I just don't frighten very easily despite a virgo Stellium.

There's a Cancer woman at work who acts similarly but I don't know what else is in her chart.

Whenever I try to light fireworks my hands shake and it takes a while because I move my hand away really quick thinking I lit it when I haven't. It's quite funny. When I was a kid, I had nerves of steel about stuff like this. Now if I have a string of fire crackers I am often too nervous to light them.

And mice traps...I can't stand setting them.
When I was a little kid I ran and hid from balloons, too.

I'm neither Virgo or Gemini, though a Gem ASC, and I get startled really easily, people think I'm overtly stressed out because of it (I'm not really? LOL).

Recently, I've been encountering more bugs than I'd like, especially in the sink, so that's made me more prone to it now than usual.

The first one was a cockroach in the sink - I was washing my hands, looking at myself in the mirror when I look down and I see this fat, ugly cockroach. I literally ran out the bathroom screaming. No lie. I then went back inside laughing because it's not like it was gonna run out after me ... The second time it happened it was a centipede.

The third time, the light was off and I touched the handle of the faucet and I (accidentally) grabbed a centipede that was on the handle. That was the most traumatizing moment of my life.

The fourth was another centipede on the sink again. The fifth was a baby spider crawling down my forehead while I was in bed. And the sixth was a baby centipede crawling up my arm in bed. I have never beat my arm as hard as I beat it that night.

Omg when I read the thread title I was thinking VIRGO. I loled when I read the post

I got Virgo rising and aqua sun. Mercury is one of my strongest planets. I definitely have fast reflexes but I don't scare easily. I don't really get that adrenalin rush unless it's something really really bad and even then I feel it creep a little later than I think is normal lol! I blame Taurus Mars. But if I'm in the right mind set I scare super easily. Like a weird facial expression from someone will freak me the **** out and put me into panic mode.

Seeing a spider can put me in that hyper vigilant mood, lol. I keep imagining it's crawling on me when it's not.

Yeahh I'm a Virgo Sun too and I definitely startle easily.

Especially with bugs, whenever a wasp or bee comes near me I run inside the house faster than speedy gonzalez!

Also when I'm feeling a bit nervous (which I'm feeling pretty much always).
I remember when I had this crush on someone and whenever we would watch a movie together I would almost jump off the couch everytime someone entered the room.. luckily it made him laugh though!
