I have read been interpreting SR charts as a tool for seeing the "energy" of life for the upcoming year. Looking through some archives here on LL, I found a few threads about Solar Return (SR) only being useful for seeing what your Leo House (as it is ruled by the Sun) will be like for the upcoming year With Lunar Return (LR) that it would tell what your 4th House would be like for the upcoming month. Anyway! I just wanted to hear some opinions on this as I thought you could look at ALL houses with a concentration of the planet in question (ie: sun for solar return, moon for lunar return and so on) Here is the thread I am referencing: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/210354.html IP: Logged |

I am not an expert but I am reading a book by Celeste Teal called "Predicting Events with Astrology". She does not use the SR chart only for the Leo house."While the progressed chart will always have priority over any other predictive chart, the SR and LR are helpful in pinpointing the timing of major events that are in evidence in the progressions. Reading the return is similar to reading any other chart, but with more specific rules. In a natal chart, any planet ona n angle is doing something. In a return chart, this is more emphasized. The angular planet represents particular activity for the time of the return, whether it is a planet in the actual return chart or a planet in the natal chart that aligns with an angle of the return. In a SR, events reflected by the planets on an angle will occur during the year, in a LR, during the four weeks that follow the return." IP: Logged |

Thanks Karmic! That backs up what I have read also. I've read to read it like a natal chart, but with the understanding that the events occur within a year, obviously, rather than a lifetime.IP: Logged | |
