When do you exactly feel yourself changing into the progressed chart? Or do you not change into the progressed chart? I don't really understand them. I have a progressed sun in Capricorn, so does that mean my ego won't be as sag focused anymore but I'll feel more like I have the ego of a Capricorn instead as I get older?

I am stuck with my progressed Virgo-self until the New Dawn of the Aquarian Apocalypse :-/ Imagine if they all RE-gressed back into Leo.....seems like a funner existence!

To answer your question though: I dunno

It's been progressing since you were born.
Add one day to you birth for every year that you are old.
On Astro. Com you can change the date below with progress selected and it will show you your chat for that date - past, present or future.

It's like... A southern guy in the north. He learns both ways of living but his roots (birth chart) will always be southern.

Yes. The Progressed chart is very important. Truly accurate predictions should start here.

Progressions + Transits.

I used to look directly in an Ephemeris to tell people Eventful Years.

Within two minutes, the Key to their Life Experience was made clear.

It's Amazing.

All I looked at was Eclipses and Planetary Direction.

One Ephemeris Day equals One Year of Life.

I see an ephemeris on Astro.com? how do you use it? Start from the birth day? What planets do you look at? What exactly does one look for to make "predictions"?

Also, where does one access the eclipse/planetary direction info? I'm so intrigued and willing to learn

Thanks

i progress my chart by progressing my ascendent 1-2 degrees per how old you are, and then looking at the same time right after birth that my ascendent was at that place after i was born, litterally only hours after birth, and the planets will change houses, but they all stay in the same place mostly, and this seems to work for me.
because if you progressed your chart 23 days, the ascendent would have changed signs 276 times, yet we only use the one ascendent we had right at our birth for progressions, so why would we use the ascendents progression but not all the other planets changing degrees at the very vital first hours of birth?

because really why would our minds be like 1 degree of ascendent = one year of life, its just a quack theory made by people trying to figure out meanings in things that arent there, your first moments of birth are the most important, your first seconds are 1000 more powerful then your first minutes, your first minutes 1000 more powerful then the first hours, the first hours 1000 more powerful than the first days. in no way does the 3rd day effect you as much as your first few hours i dont think. your brains already hardwired. so thats why i dont think 2 months after you were born would affect you when you are 60 years old. because your first moments are the time your natal chart gets hardwired into you the most.

I know this is true because my ascendent moved into opposition to natal jupiter 3 degrees after my birth degree and left opposition only a couple years ago, and i really feel the difference, the ascendent alone can act as a body in a cofiguration of planetary patterns, i could feel the opposition energy, but not so strong anymore. my natal ascendent moved to conjcunct sun and venus, and i know this was real. my natal ascendent moved past the sun and the sun went into the 12th house. i felt that the worst. it was a terrible time adapting to that. this is why i think calculating only the first few hours after birth is important.

how does one begin to look into these? I have erected my progressed chart on astro, but I have a hard time making any sense of it and there doesn't seem to be much info online

any books or resources you'd recommend?

I agree with the importance of progressed chart. Sagittarius and the 9th house are weak in my natal chart and my entire life I've had very little inkling for travel. As soon as my progressed chart took 3 personal planets onto Sagittarius and brought up 9th house influences I wanted adventure.

I signed up for the military, Coast Guard. Natal Neptune in the 9th house so most of my travel will be via water. I planned a long term trip. I did a bicycle tour of the Atlantic Coast and been on the road for 3 months. I even planned to go longer since I met people but a traveling companion got hurt so I've returned home. I plan on going to Argentina for a month before bootcamp. All this prompted bt progressed chart becoming heavily influenced by Sagittarius.

And as I get into my new military career my progressed chart is entering a heavy Capricorn influence so I expect to be a work horse for the next 2 years. Especially since I already have heavy Capricorn influences on my natal as well. MC, Moon conjunct Saturn in Cap exact.

As you can see the progressed chart can be a very good tool to analyze events. I use transits as well. I had a mercury/jupiter transit lasting a long time while I planned my trips and military career.
