What would it mean to have an opposite or "mirrored" I guess aspect in another's natal chart that you are in a relationship with? Particularly some heavy ones? Though I suppose this could apply to friendships, etc. as well. The man I am in a relationship with has Sun square Pluto, I have Sun trine Pluto. He has Sun trine Uranus, I have Sun opposition Uranus. He has Venus trine Pluto, I have Venus square Pluto. There are a few more (we have 7 total) so I am wondering if this means some sort of balance is struck/we learn from each other or we won't ever meet on these things? I feel as though, at least so far that there is some sort of "balance" however I'm not sure how it will play out over the long-term. IP: Logged |

I would think perhaps many misunderstandings. Just don't "get" each other. But that's just my opinion IP: Logged |

Don;t mirrored aspects usually offer each other a mutual sense of understanding? That's question not an answer lol. There's a thread on that somewhere around here ... and it talks about this. Something about soul mates or twinmates and projection - a person with say Moon trine neptune in a relationship with a person with Moon square Neptune - both helping each other, mostly the one with the trine, etc.IP: Logged |

That's kind of what it feels like to me. We definitely have our moments where we probably look at each other and think "wtf?" but I think there is this underlying sense of wanting to "help" each other in a way and so we are more patient. If you come across that thread I'd love to read it!IP: Logged |

Darn, you really don't want to discuss the Venus/Pluto dynamic? I think that is the biggest focus of our relationship at the moment. We both bring a completely different set of ideals based on our relationship backgrounds. He definitely has more of a "casual" background whereas I am a committed type (me being the square).Edit: Was it something I said? IP: Logged |

Yes, Taineberry puts it very well. There's another variation on the same theme - the aspects one has with another are the same that one has in one's natal. For example, I have 20 natal aspects between planets and 18 of those are identical to those I have with my SM. I found that very odd!! It is not the same for him though. IP: Logged |

Very interesting read! Thanks for digging that up With my situation though, it's not the SAME aspects, it's like the opposite aspects...Sun trine Pluto vs. Sun square Pluto, etc. Perhaps using the word "mirrored" was the wrong term. Would it still have the same effect even though they're not the same? IP: Logged |
